Look i would disconnect the port forward. Since you already have vpn, then make it a 2 step process to vpn into remote network and the ivms or web port 80 to the nvr. You can get to the cameras via feature "virtual host" bit of mucking around but some threads here on connecting to cameras... -

tonight I receive 7 notifications after it being broken for 7 days. first i update to ivms4500 7.4 current google version, thats all I change and it is broken. no notifications for 7 days. tonight some notifications come through. does this mean its hikvision fixed? i wont hold my breath. -

see my thread post mine stopped after i updated to ivms4500 7.4 BUT for same coincidence just send me notifications this minute after 7 days and me posting lambasting hikvision on this forum. Go figure. -

I dont know why Hikvision cant regression test such simple features as push notifications. Their incompetance is shocking. Yes one way I found to enable push notify on the devices was to change ivms to a local lan ip address and enable it on the Lan when I was there. Wrote this in this forum...- tradertim

young grasshopper...... so the basic idea with DDNS is you define a domain name say "younggrasshoppershouse.dyndns.com" give it a username and password, enabling dynamic dns on the modem or Asus will updlate Dynamic DNS younggrasshopper domain name with the IP address when it changes... -

Yeah I agree like whoaru says. If your ISP does some maintainance and your IP address changes your whole system breaks. You wont be able to access it. you wont know the IP address. Turn UPnP OFF for both the NVR and Modem . Any further changes i'd make one at a time and test/ validate... -

I turned noise reduction down to 50. Whats it nominally ok for to NOT introduce ghosting? Any other parameters I should optimize? The image was fine before the upgrade - think from 5.2 to 5.4 must have changed image stuff -

I wouldnt worry too much on not being able to ping the WAN. Your Asus is on a different network and would pass it 97. .x.x to the default gateway which is your modem. Some devices for security have ICMP PING on the WAN disabled. The ping might be going bck into the Cable network or PInG is... -

Im a bit confused by your statements. Yes the 10.x.x.x network is what you terminate to when you VPN into the WAN side of your modem. You should not be able to connect to your camera NVR without firstly invoking openvpn client to vpn to the ASUS modem. Your network looks complicated can... -

Yes definitely do this - I use an Asus OpenVPN search those terms for the forum thread. Its not so bad, bring up OpenVPN connect to the router via VPN, and then start iVMS or Android TinyCam. Kind of 2 step but not too much of a pain. -

What does R0 5.4.41_170312 fix - no release notes issues with 5.4.x
Hi Alastair or anyone do you know if 5.4.41 can be downgraded? It appears to me that 5.4.41 is the most recent FW for R0 Cube. Push Notification's are broken for R0 Cube on 5.4.5 I wouldn't mind seeing if they are fixed in 5.4.41 but don't want to be stuck on it, in case its worse than 5.4.5... -

read my post about 5 messages ago where i loaded the brickfixv2CN direct from the GUI as my cams werent bricked. I stopped at 5.4.5 .... they broke enough on that version. If you have a cube you'll need Alastair mod FW from Network Disconnect thread. I am not sure whether that network... -

One of the errors I had was because the digicap.dav software file 5.4.5 was not in the same directory of the mtdhack and scripts so presumably it couldnt find it. I didnt have a problem going straight to 5.4.5 from 5.2.5 but it wipes any config and reconfig is neccesary. I didnt figure out... -
