The new updated android app has been pushed to the play store

In regards to all the SSL certificate issues, it would be nice if Blue Iris simply had a automated way to import Lets Encrypt certificates. I already run a domain and serveral services for which I obtain and regularly renew a Lets Encrypt wildcard certificate. It would be nice if BI had a way...

    BlueIrisViewer RIP?

I wonder if the version of Java is having any impact?

    BlueIrisViewer RIP?

Are you using a cert of any kind? I am not.

    BlueIrisViewer RIP?

I tried that, it didn't fix it. I was never able to resolve the problem. I switched over to UI 3.0. I suspect that that the BI developer is tinkering with the login process.

    BlueIrisViewer RIP?

Interesting. I wonder what's going on then. I don't think it's a permissions issue as I can connect to BI via UI 3.0 from a browser just fine, and from the BI app on my phone, so it's not a firewall issue, or any other permission issue on the server it would seem. I've disabled all the Windows...

    BlueIrisViewer RIP?

I've been using BIV 2.8.1 and earlier for a number of years just fine. I just upgrade to 5.3.8.17 and now BIV will no longer log in. I get the typical dreaded "Unrecognized server!" when it starts up. Snooping traffic I see a few packets exchanged before the error comes up. BIV error log...

Hard crash launching 64 bit version on Win10 KVM VM.

    Sounds like you need Proxmox.

Hard crash launching 64 bit version on Win10 KVM VM.

I never said Sr vio was the cause of your problems, just that it was likely not the best nic to use. Not many people use it. Looks like you'll need to upgrade your Ubuntu then if you want things to work.

Hard crash launching 64 bit version on Win10 KVM VM.

Using SR-IOV is not that simple. The NIC, the motherboard, the hypervisor, and the guest OS must all support it. I could not find any evidence that it's supported under Windows 10, only Windows server. So, unless you're using a server class system, it's not going to work...

Hard crash launching 64 bit version on Win10 KVM VM.

That network type will give you bad performance, you want to use the VirtIO network interface and install the virtio driver. Did you try installing Windows 10 with KVM 64 CPU type? What happened?

Hard crash launching 64 bit version on Win10 KVM VM.

I have been running Win10+ BI 4 and now 5 on Proxmox for several years. It does work. Did you install Windows 10 with KVM64 CPU? Did you install all of the virtual drivers? Then install BI?

Hard crash launching 64 bit version on Win10 KVM VM.

Are you using the latest 1903 Windows 10 boot ISOs? I would try that first if you aren't. You could also try setting the CPU type to Penryn, let it install and patch up to the latest service levels, then change to KVM64.

Hard crash launching 64 bit version on Win10 KVM VM.

Howdy... I first reported this problem back in 2016 on the oVirt mailing list. I believe the issue is a bug with QEMU. If you select a processor type of KVM64, it seems to work pretty well.

Standalone Java app for dedicated live view with Instant Replay

No error log is being generated but it is giving a Java exception. OpenGL is not supported by this video driver. I'm not sure what's changed in Java. I updated to 8.131 and started getting the error. I uninstalled and installed 8.51 and now the error is gone and I can run BIV again! I...

Standalone Java app for dedicated live view with Instant Replay

I too am also suddenly having a problem with BIV starting on Windows 10. I turned on the machine, started BIV and it worked fine. I got a notice of a Java update, so I stopped BIV, updated Java, and now BIV just comes back to the command prompt when I run the jar file. I didn't have time to...

Standalone Java app for dedicated live view with Instant Replay

My wife would like a way to have the time and temperature up on the screen while BIV is displaying it's images. Anyone have any thoughts? I see there are some gadgets, but they take up a lot of wasted space.

    WiFi Body Camera?

I'm looking for a battery powered WiFi body camera that can send a stream to Blue Iris for recording. This is for a hobby purpose, so not looking to spend hundreds on a professional grade system. Anyone have any suggestions?

    BI in Virtual Box

I run my Blue Iris system in a virtual environment. I have disable recording compression, so I'm using direct to disk, I also set up my cameras to only send a couple of frames per second via RTSP. I've got 15 cameras consuming 50% of an I7 4790K core.

Standalone Java app for dedicated live view with Instant Replay

I've been using this app for a couple months now. The wife and I really love it. We have a 40" display over the entry way now with 9 cameras on it so we can see the whole yard, the driveway, inside the garage, etc. We can see at a glance where the kids are! A couple of things though... 1)...
