Yes you can unpack it. just use leachers unpacker (in Linux) ./hik_repack10 -u digicap.dav en (to unpack) ./hik_repack10 -r digicap.dav en newdav (to repack if using montecrypto's minisys)- rearanger

u-boot_g1.bin is what is asked for on the hik G1 cams. I do not have a u-boot_g1.bin handy and if I did it would not have any more commands than you already have. it would not help. if I were you, do not trash u-boot or play with it. The minisys and uboot commands are more or less useless for... -

I have only played with the hik G0 and G1's. The u-boot method looks similar to the G1. I assume you cam has A MINISYTEM on the "rcvy" partition. I think Dev boards are expensive and I could not get a hold of the s3l sdk from any of the Ambarella distributors. Best bet would probably be to attempt to blag from the smaller Chinese cam manufacturers that are using this SOC. Did you try getting ASH shell? What u-boot commands have you got? -

You are better starting a separate thread the cam you have could be totally different from the G1. Just because the SOC is similar or the same does not mean the cams software or boot sequence will be the same. -

The mini system is just a zImage: a compressed version of the Linux kernel image that is self-extracting. After installing the mImage you can still use the original unaltered digicap.dav files as well as decrypted. Rollback does not work. Someone else can work that one out lol (btw some... -

sorry I am unsure, if it does not work then you will have a brick.. if that's a Chinese cam this method alone will not make it ML.(you would have to do some ARM assembly) the version2 fail error will not harm your cam but if you install the mImage and your cam does not like it. there may not... -
