    Hikvision IPC Firmware 5.5.0 - released 24 Sept 2017

I thought that the firmware on post #43 was for a R6 camera to flash 5.45 on a 5.5 firmware camera? My camera does have 5.5 & its causing onvif issues (older firmware versions dont cause this problem with my DVR software). It didnt end up doing anything but the camera still works fine. I...

    Hikvision IPC Firmware 5.5.0 - released 24 Sept 2017

Hi, So I gave it a try but am getting this error: Note: The upgrading process will be 1 to 10 minutes, please don't disconnect power to the device during the process. The device reboots automatically after upgrading. Is this due to my firmware already being at 5.5? If so - how would I...

    Hikvision IPC Firmware 5.5.0 - released 24 Sept 2017

Just want to confirm that the 2CD234WD is a R6 Camera (which it looks like from the firmware) - I am figuring I will give the file he has as a sample the flash since he did all the work on it.

    Hikvision Onvif Issue - Firmware 5.5 - DS-2CD2342WD - no Onvif?

Hi, So my older Hik 2CD2342WD has a firmware of 5.3.8 and an onvif version of 2.4 The newer Hik 2CD2342WD has a firmware of 5.5 and an onvif version of 16.12 Its possible that Geovision doesnt support that high of an onvif version? -- EDIT - My DAHUA PTZ has a 16.12 onvif version & works...

    Hikvision Onvif Issue - Firmware 5.5 - DS-2CD2342WD - no Onvif?

Hi, I bought a few hikvision cameras to run with my Geovision VMS system (adding a few more actually) - the older cameras logged right into the server with the onvif protocol. I went to the config settings, enabled onvif, then added a user/pass. I then went into Geovision where it the...

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

So I bought a second SD52C225U-HNI & I was curious if there is some sort of manual, or video on all the various settings of the camera? I would like to know what it can do. I currently have one rule where if motion is detected within my square, the camera follows in that square for 30 seconds...

Is Auto Tracking Just A Gimmick

Thank you! That is helpful. For your motion tracking setup - are you using a tripwire or intrusion? Is it mostly accurate? It seems if i set more than one rule, nothing happens. If motion in my "intrusion" area stops, stays still for 30 seconds, then moves again it doesnt track the...

Is Auto Tracking Just A Gimmick

Dasstrum, Which firmware are you using on the camera (I have the same with a 2016 FW). I am finding the Autotracking doesnt work particularly well. Periodically a car will drive in & the camera zooms in on a tire (not helpful). Thanks, Rich

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

Hi, I am running the 12-20-2016 firmware build - not exactly sure the correct latest version. I 'think' what I want to do is have the camera run through my 3 presets bouncing around every 10 seconds. If any of the three presets see motion it should track them. After no motion for 1 minute...

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

So i have a Loftek D1 camera (Circa 2012) - I want to replace it & I really like this Starlight unit. Does the recommended camera come with an arm to attach it? Do manufacturers make a PTZ Hanging style camera that has a cover so you cant see where the lens is pointed (similar to this link...

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

So I am using a regular 15.4w POE switch & the unit seems to be working fine. Do these have a heater that kicks on when its cold (needing more than 15.4w)? I bought a POE+ injector (shipping from amazon) but I wanted to make sure I need it.

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

So to the next person looking to setup the camera as an onvif device... While the default password for the web is admin admin (or admin password) - most people tend to change it. When you change the web password, it does NOT change the default onvif password (admin/admin). So while your web...

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

Nayr - do you have any issues running the camera in onvif mode? Do you have two other IP's listed in the onvif device manager like I do?

So that strange IP is called zero config in the ODM. I am not sure how to get rid of it.

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

No - Thats Dahua's NVR type software? I am sort of stuck $$$ in the geovision 3rd party world due to software investments. Does PSS do some sort of factory reset?

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

So in the Onvif device manager, I was comparing the trouble camera with the other cameras (geovision, dahua, ebay brand x, etc). The new one that i am having trouble with shows these IP's: 192.168.1.208, 169.254.10.200, 169.254.10.100 The first IP is the correct IP, the other two are not mine...

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

So I am able to add it as an Onvif camera but it just doesnt transmit any data. The three "general" cameras are Dahua cameras - plus one Geo for good measure. So the web interface works OK but the Onvif is a bust - after the firmware update too.

Dahua Starlight Recessed Dome PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI)

Hi, Mine came today in the mail. I was setting it up with the same settings as my other Dahua PTZ cameras (2mp, 12x ptz). I have 3 & they all work great as Onvif cameras with Geovision VMS software. This one is able to be added but the stream never starts. It has this software on the...

    Whats better than Geovision VMS?

Hi, I have been using Geovision for close to 10 years. I switched over to VMS & the software is OK & I am wondering if there is something else better. My setup is about 20 Geovision cameras & 16 3rd party (Hik, dahua, misc onvif). I am using an I7 PC with 32 gigs of ram. I have it running...

I have the preset set on the camera itself (presets 1 to 5). I did try the URL with a 01 & a 1 just in case it wanted two digits. Both times the page answered OK. Just no changing the camera. This is absolutely awesome (well once we get it working right) - this will make it very fun to play...
