Zone Crossing - Not working - What have I missed ?

It would help if you posted a picture of the camera without the zones see we can see what the path is. It looks like there are steps with a motorcycle in the way. Not sure what areas you are trying to monitor.

Zone Crossing - Not working - What have I missed ?

I have all my zones adjacent to each other with no gaps in between. Many have up to 4 zones, all touching, none overlapping. 12 cameras all cloned with motion. About half with zone crossing. All work as expected consistently. Also I don't have a zone that "covers all of them".

Zone Crossing - Not working - What have I missed ?

Try eliminating zone B. Leave A the way it is but combine B & C into just B. Maybe your current B is too narrow. It does work. I use it on several cameras since it became available and it really eliminates false triggers.

    Schedule

I suspect so. In Profile 1 set all cams to continuous recording and in Profile 2 set all cams to motion along with all the settings required for proper motion detection. Then in the Global Schedule, schedule the profiles as needed. If you need more detail just ask.

I was going to mention this but thought there must be a good reason. ....and it's not something I use much. Maybe I'll use more often if working as expected. Thanks again bp2008!!!

Check the keyboard shortcut keys in the help. The backspace key will reverse direction and the [ and ] keys change playback speed. I find the keyboard much faster than mousing around. Maybe from the DOS days.

    Hardware Weight for Blue Iris

One thing to note in the data. My system reports 24 cameras. I have only 12 physical cameras that are all cloned. This would not equal the same load as a system of 24 cameras. I wonder if the data collection could check for cloned cameras by comparing IPs?

    Disappointing - RESOLVED!

The other side is if the thread stays people can see how Andy takes care of his customers. I bought 4 pieces using Pay Pal and it was easy and fast. Will do it again when I'm ready for more cameras. May try his Amazon store next time.

    Trigger count

Another maybe not easy way is in UI3. Click on the camera to display it and select the date you want. Then highlight all clips, right click and it will show you how many have been selected. Then just cancel out. This assumes you record all triggers.

    Optimizing Camera Settings

From the Wiki: "Also set Blue Iris's "Max. rate" option in camera properties on the Video tab to your camera's actual streaming frame rate, or just barely above. This max rate setting is supposed to auto-adjust itself upward as necessary, but higher values of this setting directly impact your...

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

Just to add a note to this older thread, my cpu was running 50%+ and spiking to 100% when remoting in with UI3. Made a few tweaks to BI with little change. Noticed memory was 75-80%. Bumped the 8gb to 16 and it dropped cpu to around 30%. With UI3 it still jumps to 70% (even on local...
