    I have been playing with the router for awhile, no cams have access to net, static ip addresses are set and now I have the app working. I think the problem was the pc, changed a few settings on the pc and the app started working. Thanks for all who helped point me in the right direction.

    I had problems with my isp providers modem/router combo so I dumped it and got a cheap modem and a netgear router. I had no problems setting up bridge mode with the modem and was able to set up the vpn with the router.

    I used my netgear router for that. I reserver an address for my cam then I blocked it from the internet. There has been no logs for the cam except for motion detection.

    Mine works on the wired computer (wifi turnd off) and when i check my ip address with no vpn is 192.# and with it on its a 50.#. My laptop does not have vpn setup on it but with the vpn on my laptop uses the wifi with no problems and the IP address does not change.

    I went on line and used whats my ip address. I first checked with my vpn off then with it on, they should be different.

    I had to buy a new modem, mine was a combo and I couldn't use my negear router with it. I set the new modem as a bridge so I wouldn't get any IP address conflicks from both units.

    I like to thank all who helped me with this fiber thing. I going to get start looking for a modem for standard coax cable, that's what I have in my house. My contract is up in 5 months so I have plenty of time to find one. Thanks again for everyone's help.

    the best way to within you budget is to buy the best when you can the first time around. It may take longer this way vs. buying garbage cams then replacing them later which will be more expensive in the long run.
