Problem with Blueiris, Extreme CPU usage

Don't use the latest driver. The latest driver caused my issue in the first place. I ended up using the original driver that ships with the Windows 10 Pro CD and that solved my problem. If you look at my post above, I have the driver version listed that solved my problem.

    Version 4.5.9.7 -- Storage Errors?

I just installed this last night and seems to be doing what it is supposed to do. Still needs a revert button, IMHO.

Nice! Gotta give it to Ken and his quick fixes.

    Version 4.5.9.7 -- Storage Errors?

I downgraded to 4.5.9.4 for the time being and it works fine until a 4.5.9.8 is released.

    Version 4.5.9.7 -- Storage Errors?

So, what is the quick and dirty method to get back to 4.5.9.6 from the website?

Problem with Blueiris, Extreme CPU usage

All of my HikVision cameras are 3 to 4 MP, and frame rate varies from 10 to 15 fps. Blue Iris reports around 421 MP/s. I'm confident once your computer is up and running and you downgrade the display adapter driver, you will be much better off.

    Version 4.5.9.7 -- Storage Errors?

Yep, I got problems as well...I think the developer needs to put a "revert to previous version" button somewhere.

Problem with Blueiris, Extreme CPU usage

I would like to add my input here in regards to this issue and think I have some valuable input. Prior to a few days ago, I was using a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit computer, i7-4790k, with 16 GB of ram installed as my BI server. It did not only do BI, but Plex and some random video conversions...

Blue Iris "broken" not recording after windows update

Actually, yes. I had Wireshark installed and in my method of diagnosing my issue, I uninstalled it. It left NPCAP behind, but there was an entry under "Apps" for NPCAP to be uninstalled so I uninstalled it and that fixed my issue.

Blue Iris "broken" not recording after windows update

I had a terrible time after I updated to Windows 10 Creator's Update with my network adapters that was causing grief with BI. After the update, when I would restart my PC, there would be a delay in my network adapters becoming ready after I would login to my PC and BI did not like that. Had to...

    Database: Corrupt or disc error

This is the most annoying error I have ever seen. Yes, I get it as well. I have tried to move the database from an SSD (OS drive) drive to hard drive (dumb storage drive), no difference. I have excluded the db folder from virus scans, no difference. I have used Defraggler to defrag the...

    Error 12029

I would try and change the BI port from 80 to something else. Comcast does not like their customers running web servers on their account and port 80 is the default web server port. It wouldn't surprise me if they see port 80 web requests going into your modem and reset the connection. Google...

Version 4.5.6.2 in Internet Explorer, login page borked.

Its fixed in 4.5.7.3. I think he disabled compression in the webserver.

Version 4.5.6.2 in Internet Explorer, login page borked.

That's basically my experience as well. Most PC's with IE 11 display the page fine, just my 1 desktop does not. I have not resolved it, but I have reverted back to BI version 4.5.5.1 for the time being. I contacted the developer and he said that in the next release he will disable web page...

Version 4.5.6.2 in Internet Explorer, login page borked.

Just as an update to this...I still can't get this to work on 1 specific PC (Windows 7, 64 bit with IE 11), but it works fine on other similar systems. I reset all of my IE settings on this PC and nothing works. I used the downgrade link in the other thread for v4.5.5.1 and now it works fine...

Version 4.5.6.2 in Internet Explorer, login page borked.

Anyone else getting this with the latest update? Seems like there are some issues with the webserver as of late. I know the developer was working on web page compression stuff, so this might be a side effect of that.

Issue running 2 nic cards and remote access

You shouldn't have to manually manipulate your routing table at all (unless you have a special need to). Your routing table will automatically updated based on the NICs that are installed and their assigned IP addresses.

Issue running 2 nic cards and remote access

The NIC on my camera network and all of my cameras have statically assigned IP addresses, with no gateway assigned. There is no need for a gateway as all packets stay on that subnet and don't get routed. You really shouldn't need to reload Windows.

Issue running 2 nic cards and remote access

I have a very similar setup as you: BI PC with 2 network cards: NIC 1: 192.168.1.130, on the main network. NIC 2: 192.168.2.1, just the camera network with 9 cameras (192.168.2.2 - 192.168.2.10) I have attached a picture of my BI Webserver settings (located under general BI settings, the gear...

    VPN Primer for Noobs

I would think most things you would access that would be of a sensitive nature (banking, email, etc) would be over a HTTPS connection anyway, so it should be ok. If you want to access your home, fire up the VPN, use it and close it. Seems silly to walk around with it connected all day. I...

Then you turn it on. It doesn't make sense to have it on all day long if you are not actively using it.

    VPN Primer for Noobs

I don't understand why you would do this. So you want all of the traffic generated by your device to go through your home ISP all day long as you are out of the house? It's just going to be encrypted from your device to your router, decrypted by your server, and then go back out to the...

    4.4.3- August 28, 2016

If no one took the plunge and updated, then bugs that are introduced would never get exposed. Based on this forum, I generally know that if a big bug like this happens, Ken will get notified of it sooner than later and will most likely get it resolved in a very timely fashion. It's a bit of a...

    4.4.3- August 28, 2016

Yes, sigh, mine is screwed up as well. Different alerts when clicked on play the same clip that is not representative of the alert. Used the latest 4.4.3.2 and alerts after the update are still not correct.

Does anyone know what this BI warning means?

Thanks for the replies guys. So far I cleared it and it has not come back, and files have been moved to their destination so I will continue to monitor it.

Does anyone know what this BI warning means?

I can't find that particular file in any of my BI folders. Hope it didn't get deleted. I'm pretty sure the movefile api wouldn't do that if the move was not successful.

Well I had to put down my old PC. PS windows 10 blows.

Wow, thanks for the gadget pack link! That actually works quite well so far. I love having my CPU usage and network bandwidth right on my desktop. Can't believe it was removed from Windows 10.

Well I had to put down my old PC. PS windows 10 blows.

I'm ok with Windows 10 now. I primarily updated to take advantage of the graphics acceleration while using BI as a service. Save about 20% CPU usage in my case. Windows 10 is fast, but I think that's because Microsoft decided to go with the 4 color option of this OS. Looks very flat and...

Blue Iris Continuous Recording Producing huge files

I'm not terribly sure VBR "varies" all that much. I have 6 Hikvision cameras all set to ~6000 Kbps VBR on a Windows PC running Blue Iris, and my PC always shows ~36 mbps (6000 kbps x 6) whether there is movement on the cameras or not. Technically when there is movement the data rate should...

    Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I cameras not responding

Have you tried to plug them into a different port on your POE router? Very odd that they would both stop responding and not have a common piece of hardware fail.
