    I will mess with the focus when I can, sorry to derail the thread. Might try out a 1.3MP. Would it help to put some motion activated flood lights? Here is after some adjustments, best I could get it.

    NO ambient light except for the neighbors (way too early) Christmas lights across the street. Why do the smaller pixel cams have better NV? I will adjust settings and see what I can get out of it. It looks like it has a halo or fog from the IR LEDS clouding it up.

    Here is a daytime screenshot from the cam, I'll get a night shot here in a few hours when it gets dark. I haven't changed any of the default settings, only the substream. I upgraded the firmware last night to see if that would help, but no changes.

    How are those night shots so clear? I don't have cvi but my 3mp dahua isn't near as clear. Is there some kind of settings issue or focus issue?

    I did, I changed both the 37777 and 80 ports to different numbers and port forwarded them from the NVR. The camera is linked to the NVR but under the cam settings I didn't change any ip settings. Seems to work like it is. I searched but I can't find any tutorial on how to have the NVR send...

    I got a camera today and its working, I did change my TCP and HTTP ports from 80 and 37777 to something else on my NVR. Do I have to do this in the camera as well? It's working without doing it, I just want to be sure that I set it up right.

    I did all that except used port 80 and 37777. Seems to work, I set the settings on my phone for home and away settings. For home I put the nvr IP address and a specific username and password that is only for mobile. It let me add cams. for away use I put in my DNS instead of ip and the DNS...
