    the one with 3.3V is likely serial, two ports on the left should be rx and tx, try touching them with the receive pin of your usb ttl dongle and power up the device. Though if you somehow killed the bootloader that won't work :D but lets assume that is still intact.

    You don't know which IC supplies the electronics on board with power. A good start would be to measure the 3.3V pin on the serial connector to see if it is powered when you plug the camera in (PoE or 12V tail plug).

    It's a Chinese model, you can't upgrade it with English firmware. You need to use patched firmware if you want to upgrade it (check my signature)

    The cameras has an API, Blue Iris has an API. So it's definitely possible with some middleware. I'll post something today to access the Dahua one with Python and pycurl. Should be easy to adapt to do what you want.

    Stop using PC-NVR. Start using NFS. Off Topic: A thought has crossed my mind recently: Dahua offers NVRs which run on x86 Intel CPUs. I wonder if one could get the software running on a normal desktop.

    It has nothing to do with the physical network, the application is not able to bind on the requested address. So either something is already listening on that address, the address doesn't exist (though netcat apparently can listen on it so it does), you have no permission to bind on that port...

    Are you sure your network is set up correctly? aka. you added 192.168.254.254 ? Else you can replace 192.168.254.254 with 0.0.0.0 to listen on all interfaces. Or: ncat.exe -v -u -l -p 5002 should work too

    Nah, if it's "INLAND" then it will only do chinese language. Your model is ABROAD, but I think @thanhdiepts has a chinese one.
