    RCA HS2DBA w/Laview FW won't stay connected. Flashing red ring

    Posted about this in the previous thread. I was able to get it to connect but I can't keep it connected. It works for a day or two now, then goes back to the flashing red ring. What can I do to fix this? Is it time to replace?

    D'oh. Ok I figured out how to connect to the doorbell network. The network is incorrect in the Laview App. The pasword should be Laview-XXXXX not EZVIZ-XXXXX but I still can't get into it. There's something with hikconnect but I forgot my password sheesh

    I did this once but for the life of me I can't get it to work now. I'm trying to connect to the camera over WiFi to the hs2dba badged rca to add it to the Laview app but the WiFi password given by the Laview app is wrong. What do I need to do to get the right password?

    HI everybody, I just tried to set up certificates on the dahua XVR5116HS-X and I get a bunch of problems so I tried deleting the certificate, and it won't actually go back to the http connection on IE. Is there something I need to do to fix this?

    Looking for simple solution for parent's house. Need 4-8 cameras. Can be wireless, wired might be better. Would like app control if possible. I have a rather powerful Dahua for myself but that might be overkill for this.

    This is a DH-XVR5116HS-X. The FW version is 4.000.0000001.4. Says build data is 2018-03-17. I'm going to try a lightweight email client on my desktop to see if something is afoot

    Ok. Wanted to give an update. Replaced the doorbell power kit and it rings correctly now. Is there a guide to getting this doorbell to notify through an echo dot or something? I have it connected via the laview skill in alexa but it doesn't show devices or anything like that.

    I ordered one of those kits. Hopefully that will fix things. The chime worked great with the other Hik door bell. I tried going into the app and changing from mechanical to electronic and back but that didn't work.

    In the app? Ok. I couldn't find it in the laview one app. I'll check again. What about the problem of it not always starting up on my phone when somebody presses the button? It's set to mechanical already but not working as far as I can tell.

    Thanks, but I was referring to the actual HW chime I have installed. The button works. I didn't see anything there about the software not working right.
