rtsp stream from a POE port - Possible?
Anyone know how to stream from a camera that is on the internal POE port (so it has an ip different to the rest of the network) using the rtsp protocol? Using OBS we have successfully streamed live to youtube using cameras that have network ips, but the ones we need to stream reside on the POE...- Silas

Not silly, it can be complicated with POE NVR's The POE section will provide an ip range other than the onboard nic, so it would be better not to use them for connection, on the nvr you should enable virtual hosts and then you can talk via a web browser to that new address, it is usually...- Silas

TFTP problem
ish.. I also see the loopback and just reboot the laptop after setting it to 192.0.0.128, could be a cache issue or need to flush the stack I then connect the NVR to the same switch as my pc via its rj45 network port and power it on, the others are in essence a dedicated switch, so not to be...- Silas

Maybe they do not assume the ip of 192.0.0.64 when booting? I believe that is the one expected by the tftp process- Silas

OK, how does that work? I have used tftp before with nvr - switch - pc pc set to 192.0.0.128 and booted the nvr, it recognised the pc and did the firmware, but in this instance, it does not see the nvr, the tftp screen has the start and that is it. RFI: Hikivision NVR login shows random characters...
This happened to me AFTER the flashing of the latest firmware, as it was from a genuine supplier, it went back and it took them a few goes to re-flash it, the only difference was that I was unable to enter ANY characters, the drop down was populated and would not allow me to enter anything...- Silas

Friend has just applied the latest firmware from the European site to the same NVR bought from aliexpress (but did have non chinese firmware) and it is now bricked, tftp over ethernet does not work and we are now trying to source a 4 pin 1.25 jst connector as per suppliers support...- Silas
