    I literally don't have enough ports on that switch though, and I can't justify getting a 16 port PoE switch just to accommodate one extra cam. It also isn't possible to run CAT6 cable from that location to where the switch is directly.

    Good to know. My router has a 2.5G port, and my BI machine has a 2.5G port. For the most optimal network setup, would it be best to plug the BI machine or thegigabit PoE switch into the router's 2.5G port?

    So you're saying that the switch is reporting the cams as 100mbps is because they're not exceeding that? If that's the case, then the cameras themselves would be inherently 100mbps devices then right?

    Ok weird. Without doing anything at all, I logged into my BI machine this morning and all my alerts are now restored and working as they should be. FYI I updated to 5.6.7.3 a few days ago.

    Ok so I logged in today and it happened, AGAIN. Can you please tell me what I should do to achieve this? Do I just select the 'all clips', then CTRL+A then delete all of them? If so, then what? Sick to death of having to repair/regenerate every single time I want to view a clip.

    So how does CP.AI determine if an object is static? And does the setting (when enabled) ignore static objects or not? Am I right in thinking that if I disable the setting, it will stop detecting static objects and only focus on objects in motion?
