    Dear Dahua's Sirs, I buyed the same model sure to be upgraded in English version, nobody is happy of your aftermarket, and also your internet site, don't help to solve the issue. I suggest your sales manager have to think about it. Good Christmas

    I buyed last year DH-IPC-HFW4305D-0800B and I successfully upgrade to english version with: General_IPC-HX5(4)XXX_Eng_P_Stream3_V2.420.0000.0.R.20140419.bin this new model is different in the code on with -V2- , after transfered the file it gives error. Any suggestions ?

    ...I gave up to FTP, only email... now I have to define the alarm area , i have ubuntu laptop but the webplugin for linux (webplugin.tar.bz2) is missing, so I cannot use the browser, something for my mobile with Android kit kat !!!!!

    One more question. My camera is wired to a 3G Mobile Wireless Router Asus WL-3300N3G. Is there a pobbility to configure the Ftp address on the camera as local for example 192.168.1.55 and the tell to the router to forward this address to my ddns ftp for example pippo.ddns.net ?

    The location of the camera is in a place without energy, it takes power from a car battery so not enough to keep an Ftp. :-(

    I have changed on the camera the network IP address from static to dhcp, so the camera is taking the DNS from the router and it can send email without Google DNS. So it means that camera can solve the name with the dynamic DNS, for email settings but not for FTP settings. Like I said...

    There is something not clear to me. My ftp server is in another place, so I have to reach it by internet. I don't have in my internet public IP addresses, so for this reason I am using ddns no-ip to locate my ftp server with ubuntu.

    the alarm directory exist, if I connect with ftp client with same user and password, i have to change directory with: cd alarm put something.txt ... and it's working. But it seems that the camera don't tr to connect..

    I have enabled the debug and on Motion Detection I can receive the emails, but Ftp doesn't try to establish the connection. I have tried to connect using telnet with user root , but i don't know the right password, I was trying to see if any log file from the camera can help me..:(

    Ftp is working, I already opened the port to get access,and I can transfer text file. I will suppose only snapshot. But camera seems not working with URL, and I don't know how to verify it.

    Yes, my ftp is external from my lan. I am using a WiFi router with modem and SIM card, all power is using 12 vdc with car battery, I haven't energy there. And my ftp is at my home using ddns no-ip.
