    There is an elevation change, I laser ranged it to 90ft to about the center of the frame, middle of the road. I haven't taped it yet since this is a temporary setup with only 2 screws holding it on half way hanging off the facia board. I don't know how to do scripts and don't have a computer...

    Local wheel theft again (not my footage). They spray painted the camera with red paint at the beginning like in the movies but you can still see after. Look like hikvision bullets when they showed them on the news, osd font looks the same too. Wonder if they make some sort of driveway alarm.

    I'm guessing Suburban or Expedition Long. Was thinking about adding another Longse at the front edge of the garage. Perhaps I should have put two up front, one pointing down the drive and one up the driveway instead of the current configuration.

    I think it was a random patrol. There has been several wheel thefts in the last year, they have doing patrols of all the neighborhoods, I see them drive by quite often. They caught one in the act months ago that resulted in a high speed chase but aborted the chase due to icy conditions.

    Caught part of a wheel theft across the street. Was messing around with motion recording and forgot to go back to constant. Longse s500, with my old hikvision you'd see nothing. Too bad I didn't get around to the license plate capture cam yet.

    Did you try them alone on the poe switch? Or all of them at once? Mine draws a lot of power, 2 to 3 times more power than my hikvision cameras.

    I've tried with only the ptz with no other cameras all the way up to 5 other cameras although I only run 4 normally. I tried all 8 ports on the nvr. Even with 4 other cameras I'm not even a quarter of the Poe budget.

    Turret is water tight. If you look inside there is a gasket where they screw together and the cord has a seal and some goop (silicone?) inside. I wouldn't worry about putting it exposed to rain.

    I'm using a Hikvision nvr, 7608, motion detection doesn't work reliably for me, it picks up most things but it'll miss big events like a car driving right in front of it.

    Upgraded to 3.4.2, so far so good. 4 hours with no gaps. Fixed my virtual server problem too. Might want to give it a try, i'll update after it runs more.
