Have you tried setting record to 'when triggered' so it records even if DS cancels it and then opening the DS status page while viewing a recorded cancelled alert?
The DS status page tells you exactly when, in ms, the frames that were analyzed happened
For example in mine the motion leading...
I've also noticed, by using the deepstack status display, that cars nearly overlaping/in front of stationary cars get ignored. I've also, recently had an issue where it will inconsistenly analyze the extra frames, even though I have 'giraffe' in cancel and it should always analyze the extra 10...
as wittaj said, use intrusion detection in the camera instead of BI Motion. For me in testing, I have the same camera 5442T-ZE, that is close to 100% for cars in my situation, at least for triggering. I use that with external triggers and then I have BI use DS to analyze. I have IVS set for...
I find it odd that BI with DS would only use/require iframes, one a sec, because if you use AiTool fro DS, it uses the jpg snapshots BI makes, and you can set that timer, in the BI record tab, for less than one sec per jpg snapshot.
That is a reason I delayed using DS in BI: similar to Dave...
I think I finally figured out my issue, now that we have the new deepstack status page:
I have a car sitting in the view and for some reason, sometimes ,it is not marked as stationary by BI. On those occasions BI sees car and flags the alert as car and stops the extra image analysis after the...
Open the Deepstack status window
then
Playback a clip from after you checked 'save analysis'
now look at the deepstack status window and it will show you what was used for the alert confirm for that clip
errors after clip:
If I turn off 'DS test and tune' while in clip and then close clip, no error. Temp fix at best
Deepstack status blank:
in camera choose trigger-->AI-->check 'save AI analysis details'
I wonder if I don't get the blue borders because I don't have sub-streams? Which also makes continuous+triggered superfluous, but I tried it to see if the border showed
before you ask :), I don't use substreams because it only changes my cpu from 11% to 7% which makes no difference on...
Are you sure the web interface isn't showing you the substream? That's what mine defaults to. Also if you set up BI the 'modern' way you may also be seeing the substream
I can't see the blue borders at any speed. I recorded for awhile at continuous + triggered and nothing
Someone who can:
How far into your pre-buffer do the blue frames start? right at end? 2 secs before the end?
or do they start a few seconds after the event start after the pre-buffer?
I'm not seeing a blue border either.
I has assumed the snapshot in the alerts folder was the first frame sent to DS, maybe its the last.
It would be nice if the snapshot folder had all of the frames used.
Trying to figure out my alert and Deepstack analysis timing
So I have a camera that uses IVS intrusion via ONVIF to BI
it has a 15 sec 'pre trigger buffer'
and a + 10 images per sec setting in AI
7:46:04 beginning of video
7:46:19 alert shows on timeline
7:46:28 is shown on the alert jpg...
I find when I have it set to humans only the IVS AI is much more accurate than Deepstack alone
I am using a 5442 IVS intrusion alert with Blue Iris, using ONVIF alerts, no motion in BI
Curious if Blue Iris has any way of showing that it was a human or a car that set off the alert, without...
So,
Car , capital c is from the customs model (night)
car, lowercase c is from the regular AI model
That's what i've noticed on my labels
Maybe that means we could have a 'night' profile ai, and have it report things with capitals, and during the day report things with lowercase, haven't tried yet
yes, I get the rect with the %
I am only using 'Smart Event' w/ 'Intrusion Detection' on this camera, but no MD in the camera or BI
My other camera that didn't work is only using IVS, no MD or Deepstack, and it is all good again as well
Having the exact same issues as you both and also went through all the same debug steps:
Went back to 5.4.5.3 and all is fine
Thanks for posting this so I know it is not just me :)
I have an issue I've seen and proved while watching live:
The camera is already triggered from wind, then around 5-10 seconds into the still triggered from motion a car drives by and BI/DS misses it. I assume this is because it analyzed the first 5 secs of images and missed the car at 6 secs...
Pretty much once a day it starts showing and leaving some of the snapshots in the clip menu on the left of BI. I have tried using 'alerts' and 'confirmed alerts' filters with the same result. Any ideas?
Figured it out: it was the clone camera, once I disabled it I started getting the ONVIF triggers. Then I followed wittaj idea and deleted and re-added the clone and all is well.
Thank you all for the help
Now to wait excitedly for the new firmware :)
I have:

The camera will record the event to the SD, but BlueIris never...
I'm having trouble running two instances of deep stack in ai-tool
deep stack gpu 2021.01
ai tool 2.0.627.7696
when I go in the deepstack tab and add another port: 82,83
click 'start'
it seem to be fine, it shows two command line and URL and 'running'
but then after the first event is...
I have the cameras and the Server time synced with nettime
Everytime I look at Aitools history the time on the first motion event jpg is about 4 seconds behind the aitools history listed time, every jpg after the first are all in the same second.
The jpg time is the same second as the file...
