    If you mount low, you will get a nice long view, If the camera is to high, you will miss the area close to the camera, or the camera will have to point down to capture the area close to the camera and will not capture a long view. Keep them around 8ft high.

    We were having the same issues using g suites. It looks like you have to go into your security settings for your google or gmail account and allow access to less secure apps, which is at the bottom of the security page. This seemed to work for us.

    I agree with @tangent 's recommendations also. You may capture quite a bit on the side of your house and the back yard before you put the fence in.

    Where do the wires go to in the enclosure and how many conductors in each? They grey may be power if there are two conductors, it may also be the ptz controls. The camera may be a GE kalatel or a velux. When we started in 2010, we took down and replaced quite a few different PTZ like this one...

    I would put in a 4 port NVR with a couple of bigger HDDs and you should be good. A 128gb sd card might be enough if you fine tune the motion settings or use IVS.

    How often do you plan on going there? You could put up one camera inside and just put an SD card in it. By setting it to record motion only, you could hold weeks of video. Option 2 would be to put an NVR inside somewhere with a couple of 4TB or 6TB HDDs and get 4-6 months if not more.
