PTZ control quit working with SD4A425DB-HNY

Actually, you seem to have guessed right in 2023. This appears to not be the first time it has happened. This is what sparked my thought that it might be date related. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/ptz-controls-suddenly-stopped-working.73085/post-808297

    Gunshot Detection?

As someone said in a subsequent post, real bullets leaving a muzzle have a ultrasonic component that fireworks and blanks won't. Funny enough, at the range today, the guy in the next bay over had a suppressed AR. That made more of a thump noise than what is typical. Probably wasn't running...

PTZ control quit working with SD4A425DB-HNY

Setting the camera date to March 10 seems to correct the issue. I'm attaching a video of my screen showing the issue happening when the camera date is March 9. Appears that the problem begins at 00:00 UTC on March 9. Looking at a packet capture - attached - the time is expressed in UTC between...

PTZ control quit working with SD4A425DB-HNY

This is some sort of a weird bug related to date. I have two totally separate BI systems. One of them has a bunch of cameras including nine PTZs of different flavors. Two different types of Andy PTZs - the older ones and the current ones - and several different Axis cameras. PTZ quit working on...

Periodic Blue Iris app crash upon opening RTSP stream from BI

I've had this issue for a while. I've had Blue Iris support look into it, but they were unable to resolve it. Primarily because they couldn't duplicate it, though I would think that the fault offset being consistent would give a clue as to what is going wrong. What is happening is that...

what would cause image to distort?

That's a good catch. Get on the camera and try forcing B&W / Color along with IR cut a few times. See if the strip moves or goes away.

PTZ4M-25X-PV camera PTZ resetting periodically - possible firmware bug

Been running DH firmware since yesterday afternoon and no spontaneous resets. Got a message from Andy to try updating the PTZ FW. The link he sent for the updated FW actually appears to be the same version as WAS on the camera. The version from DH is slightly newer, and as I said seems to have...

Reolink NVR - max cable length 260 ft?

Maybe a little late, but... any legitimate network cable will be "pure" copper. What you have can be easily confirmed with multi-meter. If you have the whole box of 1000 ft, short one of the pairs on one end and measure the resistance of that pair from the other end. A 24 awg pair will be 51.34...

PTZ4M-25X-PV camera PTZ resetting periodically - possible firmware bug

I defaulted it a few times. That's why I couldn't show the logs from Tuesday into Wednesday. So.... I needed a camera that would not do the periodic PTZ reset, so I ordered a Valucam that looks very much like the prior one sold here. We'll see when that gets here. But, since this one was going...

PTZ4M-25X-PV camera PTZ resetting periodically - possible firmware bug

    Yes... it did it at 13:53. Likely a bug of some kind. 2 Username: System Time: 2024-07-25 13:53:21 Type: PTZ Operation Contents: {Channel:0 No.:1 PTZ Function:PowerUp PTZ Operation Type:Go to Preset }

PTZ4M-25X-PV camera PTZ resetting periodically - possible firmware bug

Purchased a PTZ4M-25X-PV. I've had it outside testing prior to install on top of a tall building. I noticed over the past couple of days that it would periodically go to the power-up preset. Looking in the logs, it says "PowerUp PTZ Operation Type:Go to Preset". This is not the same set of...

Image stabilization on PTZ4M-25X-PV not useful

Thanks for that. I'll give that a try. As far as my clarification that I was talking about EIS, I absolutely understand that you know what EIS is. I was just making sure that that I didn't misstate what problem I was seeing. Also found something else on this camera that I'll make a separate...

Image stabilization on PTZ4M-25X-PV not useful

2D and 3D NR affects the EIS? What I am talking about is where the camera uses the extra image space around the edges to simulate holding the lens and sensor in the same place on the image. Imagine the camera on a pole. Wind blows the pole slightly back and forth, but the motion isn't visible on...

Image stabilization on PTZ4M-25X-PV not useful

Recently purchased a PTZ4M-25X-PV. This is the replacement for SD49425XB-HNR. I have a number of cameras scattered around cities and beaches. I've installed several SD49425XB-HNR cameras, and so far they are working well. Unfortunately, that's been discontinued, and the replacement is...

2024 EmpireTech Active Deterrence PTZ Camera Release

Where can we find the user's manual for these? I bought one, and there's items in the web interface that are not explained, and are not present in the "Web 5.0 camera" manual on your website. I also find nothing close to this on your site. The the prior camera, you could infer alot of stuff from...

    EmpireTech 2024 Spring Sales

I've got a question for you. I know that camera has red / blue blinky lights. Not something I need, but can you tell me what is in front of the lens? Is it still glass like the SD49425XB-HNR was? Thanks!

Need camera suggestions - identifying license plates and faces of animal dumpers

In addition to the suggestions below - and maybe as extra to the cameras / system suggested - maybe some game / trail cameras. Some of them can do a decent job of doing snapshots in sequence. If you have the ability to hide them in something, you can get close to the road at your entrance. IR...

    How to clean a CCD

Big (fresh) silica gel bags inside a plastic bag... yes. Rice in container... no. Rice really doesn't grab water out of the air. If it did, it would suck up moisture while in the cardboard box. Damp rid... no. It is limited in what it will pull the humidity down to. Maybe high 30% to low 40%...

Question about BI AI Status icons

Yes, and... What I am trying to accomplish is that I want to trigger on Zone A as below - basically not wanting to trigger on the motion on the main road to the left. But... I need the AI to be able to see the are in Zone B for the analysis. If only Zone A get looked at in the analysis, you get...

Question about BI AI Status icons

Thanks for the reply. I understand what the symbol means when it's in the camera window UI. What I am asking about is what the symbol means when it's shown in the AI status window. The issue is that as you look through the analysis' it shows it detected a car, but the return back to BI was along...

Question about BI AI Status icons

Can someone tell me what the two green squares icon means in AI status? I see is matches a car, but doesn't return a match as far as BI is concerned. These pop up occasionally, but there nothing in the help file that describes what some of those icons mean. Example below.

Transferring Blue Iris to new machine

I've got a BI system that I am going to migrate from one server to another. Currently 27 cameras. System is running under vmWare - 16 gig,16 cores - VM config and perf screenshots attached for the curious. It's been working pretty well, and I do AI on 5 of the cameras. I've read some other posts...

Restrict user to access substream only

Anyone know of any tricks to restrict a specific user so they can only access the substream on a Dahua - actually IPC-T2431T-AS - camera? It's no so much the video, but the audio. We've got audio enabled on only the main stream, but not the substream so If I can prevent access, that will do it...

    Snapshot URL for SD49425XB-HNR

We have a SD49425XB-HNR that we would like to grab snapshots from. I've figured out that http://username:[email protected]/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?1 works, but there's a problem with permissions. If I put a user and pass in with full unrestricted permissions, it works great. I don't want to give...

    Newest firmware for IPC-T2431T-AS

I had found that also before asking the question. Nothing listed on that page actually says what the newer firmware does that the older firmware doesn't - like release notes. Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

Not recording anything. They are used as weather cameras and are put on air on TV stations as part of local weather - and occasionally run out to two of the big 4 networks. 25 vs 30 vs actual on air frame rate of 29.97 isn't a big difference, but it is visible.
