embedding UI3 parts in a web page?

Thanks for the reply! Sorry, I should have been more clear. Yes, I already use the grouped view. It's functional, but because this will be displayed on a small, wall mounted screen, I'd like simplify the display. Ideally, I could clean up the view a bit to remove the clip browser, CPU stats...

embedding UI3 parts in a web page?

Hi all (apologies if this has been covered before), I'd like to embed UI3 in a wall-mounted tablet, but not the whole interface. I would like to just display a simplified view with the live feed and clips from a single cam. Ideally, the embedded version would give users the ability to scrub...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

How is the new sub stream working for everyone now? Just came across this wonderful feature and enabled yesterday it for 4 dahuas on BI 5.2.9.19. Only been about a day, but seems stable so far!

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Hi everyone, a couple of quick questions I hope someone can help with (I didn't find these in the 101): Has anyone yet found a way to get doorbell presses in ONVIF? Last I remember, only PIR was available, is this still the case? I already have a relay in place for doorbell activity, but...

Dec 2020 - Comparison of RTSP Doorbells

Sorry, I don't have the settings anymore. I removed the DB11 for the Hikvision. I just remember I didn't have to change anything in BI for 2 way. I was not using the IMOU app after the initial setup.

Haha, anyone want to bite the bullet so we can get some sample videos for comparison?

Dec 2020 - Comparison of RTSP Doorbells

Thanks for the heads up! Doorbird was deliberately left off the list since the $300+ price point was far too high, especially given its low video performance (720p) and complaints about reliability. However, it does meet most of the other requirements. Dbell is an interesting one. Will have to...

Dec 2020 - Comparison of RTSP Doorbells

@David L Great suggestions. Thanks! It seems we are trying to accomplish the same thing in keeping all this detailed information organized. Thanks for your great 101 write-up on the Hikvision variants. I deliberately wrote the resolution that way to indicate the camera only shows portrait mode...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

For whatever reason, it's not written in the spec, but it does run off DC. I'm running two of them off POE cat5 wiring. One powered from a POE hub, one powered from a dedicated DC power supply
  10. S

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Oh, but they DO run on DC. Mine is running off a 24v DC power supply. I'm using a relay to sense doorbell presses and sending the signal to home automation

    Hikvision DS-HD1 Doorbell Cam

Uh... There is a HUGE thread on this here. http://ipcamtalk.com/threads/new-rca-hsdb2a-3mp-doorbell-ip-camera.31601/ Short answer: yes it works with BI

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

After taking all the steps I wrote in that other post, you can verify ONVIF events are working by looking at the blueiris alert viewer. You should see a new event every time the PIR detects motion. Here's a screencap from BI: Finally, you also have to setup the trigger in the camera trigger...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Hrm, very good question! I'm afraid I can't answer that as I'm running mine over POE with buck converters, so both doorbells are operated by DC power, not traditional transformer. Hopefully someone else can chime in with their feedback?

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I have both laview and ezviz. If anything, I like the ezviz a little more since it came packaged with 3 faceplate options, all else being equal. Killer deal!

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

This is a good point and highlights an important tradeoff for the SD-M5 compared to the Hikvision and Dahua doorbells. The affordability of the SD-M5 is great, but the higher price of the other two models also means they come with good quality exposure correction like HLC, WDR, and BLC to help...

Good to know! If you have time, and if you can share a clip, I'd love to take a look at a video to compare performance. If you can find a way to get it to me, I can link it on the first post.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

For the laview version, the six digit password printed on the sticker on the doorbell worked for me. Username was admin.

Oh, BI hardware acceleration doesn't work for the RTSP stream? Interesting. That's similar to the wyze cams.

Dec 2020 - Comparison of RTSP Doorbells

I have not tested the original DS-KB6003-WIP (Hikvision DB1) in person, but at least based on anecdotal feedback I have seen here, the new hikvision is better in reliability, connectivity, and image quality. Hopefully someone with direct experience can chime in. I will at least say, compared...

IIRC, timestamp can be removed in laview app. No one yet has found a way to disable the local chime on the doorbell

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Bummer. Too bad it doesn't work the same way. Oh, I should mention (forgot about this important detail). On the dahua and laview doorbells, the voltage drop only occurs when you change the configuration in their respective apps to "mechanical" chime. Does the SD-M5 have a similar setting...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Fair points. I don't have the SD-M5, so I can't say either way. I agree isolating the pushbutton is reliable (the other methods are good too), but I'm offering an alternative method to test for people who don't want to open up the case. It's easy enough to verify while avoiding any destructive...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

If you're not as comfortable with solder, try this method instead. With the doorbell powered on, try pushing the doorbell button and measure the voltage drop. Most traditional doorbells operate by creating a dead short on the wires and the video doorbells seem to emulate this. If your voltage...
