Ruckus is great I hear. Mostly a Enterprise company. Out of reach for most home use. Not that it wont work that last I checked its super expensive. Might find used gear on ebay. For a Business that has a big IT budget I bet it is great.

SD cards or No SD cards

I am sort of just talking out loud here for myself. I am taking your points into account. Also its why I included the word Immediate. I don't see a SD card failing in the first year or so. If it does no biggie for me. Plus mine is just simple home system. I don't have my surveillance setup...

SD cards or No SD cards

Ok so it think I get this out of it: Its like insurance but cheaper ;) SD cards are cheap. Provide some fault tolerance in Disaster recovery. No immediate drawbacks Other than might not be worth it on preexisting cams without them. Put in place on first maintenance.

Looking for new cameras for home security

To expensive for what you get. Need their eco system to make it work. Poor Quality overall. look at the links @wittaj sent Learn up on DORI. Then think about where you would really need to IDENTIFY a perpetrator. Example: 0-10' from your front door. OR last 10-15' of your driveway.

Windows 11 Real-Time Protection keeps tanking BI Performance

Right Microsoft doesn't allow it to be removed. So the best you can do is exclude the noted directories. Also have you been through the wiki to setup everything. Maybe you need to optimize the settings in BI. Do you have substreams setup? I have bi and ui3 up running at 15fps at less than...
