Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

Apologies if this has been discussed before--I don't see any prior mention of it--but what are the possible routes to integration with UI3? Could the database be served up as a new "tab" in UI3? I'd be interested in ways to make this available to other users without having to expose another...

I thought that only controlled when BI gets triggered, and not the image(s) that BI sends to CPAI. Or does it mask the images that get sent to CPAI?

If I have an existing installation that I want to update to the latest, do I just download the latest docker-compose.yml and schema.sql, and then compose down, compose pull, and compose up -d? Thanks!

Using single POE cable to power mic and camera

Interesting. If I'm reading the description correctly it passes 802.3a? through, plus it picks off 12V for a peripheral. It's $8 at MicroSeven.com, plus $5 shipping, described as "New!" despite we've been talking about it here since at least 2019. But there's no datasheet or diagram at M7, so...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

LOL. I kept seeing this old Camaro exiting the North driveway in my industrial park, with CPAI reporting "No objects found," and review of the clip showed what initially appeared to be intentional blurring of the license plate. Well, today walked over to look at it while it was parked. It's been...

Stack video frames to enhance face and catch Truck Thief?

Is there a step-by-step tutorial on how to focus a IPC-B52IR-Z12E S2 for night captures? Every time I think I have it right, the next night's clips are out of focus again. I've turned off PTZ in BI for all user except Local_Console and admin, including turning it off for myself, as I don't log...

Blue Iris Windows 11 or Windows Server?

The boxes that I've upgraded to Win11 did all their updates after installation, with no problems.

Blue Iris Windows 11 or Windows Server?

Yeah, this is my motivation for following this thread, too. Server OS are designed to be up and running 24/7/365. They aren't configured to spontaneously reboot, add useless features, go to sleep, try to save you money by enforcing energy saving features without you asking, download Clippy, etc...

Blue Iris Windows 11 or Windows Server?

Nope! I used Rufus to make a USB installer stick that skips the TPM and CPU model checks. I updated the TPM to 2.0 on 4 of the boxes anyway, because I found the tool to do so, but I'm not sure it matters. The Windows installer does throw up a warning just before the last Install button...

Where would I mask it out? I still want it to be recorded to disk (it's burned in at the camera), but I don't want it analyzed by the LPR module. Thanks!

Blue Iris Windows 11 or Windows Server?

I dug into this a bit a few weeks ago when working on boxes that I'd bought used with Win10, and upgrading some of them to Win11. On some boxes, this PowerShell admin command will work, wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey, and on others this one, (Get-WmiObject -query...

Does CPAI do anything if not specifically configured on a camera?

I'm having a weird experience with CPAI. In all my previous history I'd been just triggering on motion detection, and my Alerts had been "When this camera is triggered," on all my cameras. I had attempted fiddling with CPAI on my Home BI box perhaps a year ago, or perhaps it was DeepStack...

POE over Powerline adapters! Will they suck? Let's find out.

As it turns out, that outlet was switched. So every time my parents turned off the exterior lights, the cameras went off. It took awhile for my local sparky to be free for a small job, but last week he found a hot line up near that roofline, punched through, and installed me an...

I have a plate!!!!! Nuking the database and starting over was the last required fix. Thanks to everyone for all the help! I certainly would not have figured it out on my own. For anyone new to the thread, about 1/4 of my problems were due to following an out-of-date ReadMe.MD that had an...

I nuked the site from orbit (it's the only way to be sure), and started over. I'm pretty sure the incorrectly-created database was a problem, because as soon as the database engine was running, the dashboard looked like this: instead of how it looked previously: when it was trying to read...

Where does this live? I searched my C: drive and my V: drive, and I haven't found this. Does it live inside Docker's virtual infrastructure somehow? I'm still not getting records into my database, nor images into /images or /thumbnails, despite seeing traffic in the containers, so I think I...

Is my WD purple 6tb HD in trouble?

Unfortunately I couldn't replace their SATA boot SSD with an m.2, as I did on my ex's box and my personal box, because the m.2 slot on my parents' motherboard looks like this: The m.2 screw at the other end was also unremovable, and stripped, so I'm guessing the refurbisher decided to use...

Is my WD purple 6tb HD in trouble?

I moved that HDD to a new SATA connector on the motherboard, with a different SATA cable, and it's been running properly for the last 24+ hours: The /New folder now correctly has a smaller number of 4 GB files that appear every few hours instead of tons of smaller files that appear every few...

Here's my one positive contribution to this thread. Future users may want to add restart: unless-stopped between image and environment to the db section of their docker-compose.yml, e.g.: db: image: postgres:13 restart: unless-stopped environment: Otherwise the postgres database...
