in that case PTZ cams don't have any sense on sides of building... there is so small space to the plot and plot is high - so visibility for PTZ will be small... please remember that maximal FoV for PTZ is 60 degrees (they can't work as wide overview camera)... on sides and back there should be... -

you can do a difference - but not that big... ps. I don't like timetable changed manual profiles - they work bad in spring and autumn months. When the sunrise/sunset time is completely different on the 1st and last of a given month. This mechanism does not take into account different weather... -

If You use automatic day/night switching then difference in Your day and night settings (shutter & gain) are simply too big. shutter is 4x longer, gain 2x bigger = 8x more light.. when camera see that day profile settings are not enough, it switched to night profile where it see too much light... -

they lying :) they didn't released any big upgrade with a new features for -XI in last 18 months.. only small releases with bug fixes / security patches (and empty release notes).. You are lucky that 5xxx-XI was launched half a year later than 6xx-xi, so in the base firmware you already have...- steve1225

If camera supports AI function you want to use (like IVS), then You should use that AI function done of camera... they always work better run on camera and not NVR.. definitely this camera (sensor and lenses) showed here own age.. if this is 1.3Mpx cams, this means this is 8-10 years old cam... or even more... this also looks like problems with sharpness or dirty lenses/dome.. use this camera for less demanding environment. rotate and show something... -

OK, I see You have version based on Q4 2023 or Q1 2024 firmware for -EI series... With Acupick 1.0 over web, but without AcuPick 2.0 and other changes (almost 40 new features) and new UI which were released in July 2024 for -EI series... I have latest firmware on 6xx-XI (V4.000.0000000.6.R.240721). But as I told it is 18 months behind 5xxx-EI (feature wise - it's based on -EI firmware from Q2 2023)... Many people here on the forum have 608-XI and all reported the same problem. Lack of AcuPick over web, Lack of AcuPick 2.0...- steve1225

One more time: Does 5xxx-xi allow to search using AcuPick over WEB interface? Do you have acupick icon in all web players (live view, ai search results etc)? Your screenshot look like from HDMI interface? Can you put screenshot of main screen with 6 big icons - from which you go to Live view...- steve1225

One solution which I can think of: install / run 2 copies (in different directories) of SmartPSS on computer.. one (230310) for P2P clients, second (older) for IP ones... -

I known very well actual situation with SmartPSS. But You don't know that SmartPSS is simply deprecated by Dahua. Dahua refuses to make any corrections / upgrades to it, and the latest version 230310 was released with the 'as is' provision - is released in current state without any guaranties... -

is 4Mpx bullet and 8Mpx turret? Bullets have 2x more IR LEDS and IR power... Your pictures shows that 58IR have very uneven IR - strong spot in the middle (see manual IR settings - far/near settings).. -

Why do "high end" cameras use a 1/2.8" sensor?
Color at night is very tricky. Even with large sensors, big open apertures (not sharp image) and AI image processing. in most cases we can have good results with static image but mediocre - semi good with people/cars in motion. In comparison IR simply works - and you can have sharp not blurred...- steve1225

There are a few cams with 10 Mpx 4/3" cameras on the market.. Bigger sizes are not available because no one produces bigger sensors for cctv market (they must be IR enhenced - each pixel in each color must see also IR - which is not typical for DSLR's sensors)...- steve1225

Dahua cam without NVR
You are losing all SEARCH capabilities which are provided by NVR (for AI events).. camera allows to show footage, but search capabilities are very limited (date & event type, no other parameters)... -

yes... I read hundreds post from people who did that mistake and bought to small NVR.. How to add ninth camera to my NVR when I have 8 channels? :) price difference between 8/16/32 channels are small (they are simply licenses loaded into NVR flash in case of non-POE version), but cost buying...- steve1225

Both Hanwha and Axis have higher models with 1/1.8" sensor, Axis have 1/1.2" and is going even to 4/3" in one model.. Hanwha X is only higher (PRO) line , Hanwha P line is high-end one.. bigger sensors require much bigger optics which require much bigger chassis - so they usually limited to...- steve1225

Actual Dahua NVRs are 5xxx-EI and 4xxx-EI... if we talk about 2HDD and 16 channels then: 5216-EI or 4216-EI... POE versions have -16P suffix... For both You need to install RTSP fix, to add RTSP camera option to support non Dahua intercoms as cameras...- steve1225

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE S3 strange audio electrical noise
Full WDR (>=45) triples how many shots are done by camera (3 per each video frame). Also increases a lot image processing by SOC (combining 3 shots using HDR algorithm).. Both increases a power usage... try on different POE switch... if this is high pitch, looks like some coil whine... -

In most cams (bullets & turrets) You can install sdcard when cam is installed without changing cam FOV (position/direction).. the sd card slot cover is easily accessible from the bottom of the camera even when it is installed- steve1225

Samsung EVO is NOT designed for 24/7 writing scenarios (cctv, dash cam) - it will die after a few months of 24/7 writing data... Only cards with Endurance in name (Samsung Endurance Pro, SanDisk High/Max Endurance etc)...- steve1225

For CCTV or dash cam usage You must use only Endurance series cards... they are designed for 24/7 writing scenarios - have very high TBW (terabytes written) parameter... normal lines will die after many months of 24/7 data writing... I use Samsung Endurance PRO (it have highest possible TBW)...- steve1225

- do you have light everywhere around house? T180 is full color camera - it means it have only white light and it don't see IR (infra-red).. it requires some light everywhere.. - all 180 degree cams have blind spot under camera.. you can tilt down, but this means that side views will go even...
