on 2/3/4 series cams / NVRs You can't do Video Meta Data.. The only option is simple IVS with human/vehicle filtering. If You configure properly it will capture people/cars, but without any attributes like in my demonstration. Also night performance of 2849 will be 10-20x worse that 5442... -

Click 2 levels up in menu - Video Detections.. and then disable there.. You disabled Smart video detections, but old stupid non AI Video Detections stays on... -

Your image is static - so going into clear side (but not 100%) is better for You... it gives more bandwith for I-frames... -

what frames you captured from video stream? I-frames or delta frames? With clear settings I-frames (1 frame per 15/30/60 frames) will have best quality / sharpness / bandwith at a cost of the rest 14/29/59 delta ones ... this setting is better for static images.. if You move too much into... -
old SmartPSS (v2.003) cannot connect to Dahua NVR starting today, but SmartPSS lite can.
there are some bugs in latest smartpss which blocks adding individual devices over IP in some configurations. if you had added it before, there is no problem.- steve1225

where You move smooth streams to clear then camera will use most of the bandwith for I-frames, which are usually once every 2 seconds. other (delta frames) will have a lot less bandwidth and the moving objects will be not sharp / good quality inside that 2 seconds windows. For TV-like purposes... -

No one on this forum is from Dahua.. You should contact Dahua support in Your country and report Your problems with SmartPSS... This is the only way to force Dahua to do something with this..- steve1225

You decide in configuration - it can stay in color or switch to IR.. 54IR bullets have one of the strongest IR (4 strong IR LEDs, 2 wide for near, 2 narrow for far, can be configured proportion). At 1/200 with manually forced IR - in most cases there is enough IR light to nice capture everything in B/W mode even on totally dark street.. In WDR method I think angle is even a bigger problem. After my original post about my Full VMD + Full WDR + strong IR + longer shutter time method...- steve1225

At day this is simple. You enable Full VMD (AcuPick disabled) and very short exposure time - and this simply works... Night conditions are much more complicated. There are two ways of doing thing: - classical - strong IR + very short exposure time (1/1000 or 1/2000) + HLC + some image settings...- steve1225

When You have enabled SMD / IVS and watch footage Dahua apps shows AI rectangles around people / vehicles.. In case of IVS also show rules You draw in IVS configuration.. Did you still didn't switch from SMD to IVS on camera and didn't tried how IVS on camera works? ps. if you did, show IVS...- steve1225

Why NVR should be offline? it device designed to work 24/7... 100% systems I do are AI cams + AI NVR, where cams do first level of AI filtering but storage and event distribution to mobiles is always on NVR side. TIOC-PRO line, with bigger 1/1.8" sensor and dual hybrid light (IR + white, white can be activated by motion) exists in 4 / 6 / 8 Mpx versions... 6 Mpx have worse night performance that 4 Mpx, 8 worse that 4 and 6... more pixels on the same size sensor = smaller pixels = less light sensitivity...- steve1225
