    EU follies

Really @bigredfish ? Is it so easy to comment on another country or continent taking preventive measures against a possible war? Here for 3 years there has been a heavy war... a war that no one wanted, but Russia broke the signed peace treaties and invaded a neighboring country. where about a...

    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

Starvis 2 - none from Dahua/HIK... 5849 is using old 1/1.2" Sony starvis 1 sensor - but this sensor wasn't created for cctv (it didn't see IR, so there are only white led models with that old sensor on market)... Other companies like Axis stopped puts sensor manufacturer information to spec...

    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

I hope for new S4 generation for WizMind-S 5xx2 cams... with all TIOC-PRO features (dual hybrid light, WizColor HDR video image processing, speaker/siren, ok I don't need red/blue light - please put 4 hybrid IR/white LEDs - half for near, half for far from bullet to turret).. all optics/chassis...

The Real Truth of SMD as I See It

SMD is good if you need to separate all human/car traffic (SMD) and some specific actions/triggers (IVS) on cheaper / lower cams.. but on modern cams (5442-S3, 7442-X) SMD was replaced by AcuPick 2.0 / mini Video Meta Data for that.. With AcuPick 2.0 you can search not only by human/car/animal...

Help me understand the difference between Face Detection and Face Recognition

As I wrote many times - you must select beetwen: Acupick turn on with only mini IVS and only mini VMD (no face/plate snapshots, many limitations) or AcuPick turn off for full VMD with all features (as presented on my post) and no IVS (or IVS done on NVR)...

Ubiquiti releases Protect Generation 6 Cameras - G6 Bullet, G6 Turret, G6 Instant

Longer thread about G6 cams on reddit.com - now 300 posts. And only one post asking about night performance and color at night (in comparison to Reolink CX).. zero posts about sensor or pixel size and light capture performance.. Everyone is happy from stronger IR diodes (upgraded from 8 to...

    DahuaUS>Luminys First impression

And Dahua released new camera HDW21249T-S-IL (12 Mpx with 1/2.5" sensor in 2xxx turret line), which have almost identical specs... Exactly the same FOV specs, exactly the same DORI, the same sensor data (ok Dahua cuts a few pixels from resolution), the same dual hybrid lights...

Ubiquiti releases Protect Generation 6 Cameras - G6 Bullet, G6 Turret, G6 Instant

Here another video from night with IR.. yes, it's YouTube compression.. and some YouTuber who is using default image settings on camera... but video footage from night with IR for cars / people who moves don't look good.. people are blurred and ghosted (with IR in BW mode!).. it looks like...

Ubiquiti releases Protect Generation 6 Cameras - G6 Bullet, G6 Turret, G6 Instant

main changes to G5 are: bumped 4K resolution (from 2K / 4Mpx), wider FOV (from 84 to 109.9), bigger sensor 1/1.8", stronger IR (from 8 to 30m) and more AI... first review and comparison to different unifi models: it looks like it isn't designed to work in color at night... simply...

if the marked as red rectangle in last picture area is your FOV.. then only Z4E will supports this.. ZHE optical zoom will stop at much bigger area.. ps. if you have another overview camera there with 110 degree FOV, I don't see any sense to put there another ZHE.. only tele zoom..

At luminys website I found 2 camera lines with 1/1.8" image sensors: - LumiColor - looks like FullColor cams, 4/8Mpx with 1/1.8", only white lights, only fixed... https://www.luminyscorp.com/products/explore?category_id=1,4&series_id=2 - LumiLuxSmart - some cams with small sensors... but if...

B58IR 1/1.2" varifocal coming soon? Plus mounting/DORI questions

    1. Color4K (8mpx in 1/1.2") IS NOT a B58IR.. it's 5849 (not 5842) series - called Full color... only available with fixed lens and only with white light.. no IR. with many problems (bokeh effect, digital sharpening, compression artefacts etc).. there is no plans to change this... 2. 8-32mm in...

Camera for indentification HFW5442E-Z4E or IPC-HFW5442E-ZHE

what area exactly (how wide)? from what point to what point? is that area fits under 45 degrees horizontal field of view (half of 90 degrees)? if yes - then Z4E.. it will support 3x zoom range from 45 to 15 FOV.. it will give nice face images but not super wide overview images.. if you need...

Camera for indentification HFW5442E-Z4E or IPC-HFW5442E-ZHE

I remember this photo in past questions in this forum :) for this distance Z4E will be much better, but You should draw on this picture what AREA you want cover by a new camera and not distance to one point..... Z(H)E gives you 110-47 degrees horizontal view.. Z4E gives You 45-15 degrees...

URGENT!!! There will be new DMSS 2.0 and new cloud account mode & new cloud video streaming

Give Dahua a few weeks - it looks that they fix bug after bug... Big Question is - does they restore old non-cloud / non-account P2P functionality / connectivity in DMSS??? there are a ton of post / comments about this in Polish Dahua forum... People don't want to use cloud/account mode...

    Mini-Review EmpireTech IPC-Color4M-T

I told many times on the forum that BW/color switching in TIOC-PRO works very well, much better than anything Dahua released before. Also TIOC-PRO works very well with external motion-activated flood lights.. There is no problem with external light haziness - always turn-on HDR (pseudo WDR)...

    PTZ425DB-AT vs PTZ425DB-AT-R - Low Noise?

for me classic PTZ425DB-AT is one of the loudest PTZ cams... it generates very high frequency pitch noise (R2-D2 is good comparison :) - which moves over air at longer distances and it's very easy to determine source / direction of... I had installed PTZ425DB-AT for some time on my home...
