    Assistance with Profiles/Schedules/Alerts

I would avoid playing with the schedule override (Versus using global). that is on each camera, the colorful thing should be set only in the main "Options/Schedule". If you wish some cameras to obey different schedule times then use the ones on each, but that gets confusing, very fast. The...

Geofencing. en-garde! (dupe instances of one mobile)

I have 3 instances of one device on my mobile tab. Therefore I can't tell which one, if there is only one currently in use, to choose for Geo-fencing in and out. The device ID is something arbitrary in appearance, I thought at first glance they were MAC addressess, but they don't match up. I...

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

If it runs and if it does not get an update, the values saved into macro text stay "frozen". I did add the time updated to check it, however. Thanks. Im ALWAYS using it.

BI 2 cameras live view side by side possible?

Yeah. You will have to avoid them going back to side by side as you drag (i drag into 2nd monitor) as theyll Snap into a shared window, if his recent changes didnt mess up this, you can overlap well, and it stacks in inverse order of last activity. Takes a minute or five to set up.

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

Not to my knowledge. Hate to request but need to blank values of wx when errors occur. I donned gloves n a hat not knowing it was 40 outside because inet stopped.

JSON Cmd to TALK... doesn't exist... does it?

Cameras have audio out ports. Blue iris has a talk button that is denoted with a microphone. I want JSON/Webserver/commmandline, whatever access to it. The only other place I see it is in the blueiris mobile app. Not the webserver, not even UI2.

    Do police ignore your video?

I'm a bit worried to tell police as they could just seize the stuff. Nice that DC Metro will reimburse. Too frequently that happens to people, less often businesses, rich people.

BIT: Server monitor resets to local IP

I can't get BIT to stick on .64 (downstairs). Whenever I come back a week later to look at it, it's looking at .71 (here). Of course I unchecked. I have intent to have BIT cross-monitor.

    BI Compatibility with Multi-lens Cameras?

Wow. It has nice features. Object adbandoned (+) or missing (-) is cool, BI could have that.

Viewer goes dim on non-trigger frames

I've emailed Ken about this and he said he was not aware of it. For the past year or so, whenever I go into a non-active portion of video, ie: a part that was recorded one-fame-per minute periodic, it will dim the window like so. It seems to be intentional, and is great on the timeline view to...

BI 2 cameras live view side by side possible?

But wait... there's more! My wife irks me when she switches the PC input off... but.. you can drag each camera view onto desktop into a nearly frameless window, you can even stack them like cards and set each one to come side up once triggered! That option is under trigger tab. I suggest having...

Script to Detect Colour, Make and Model of Car and People from IP Camera (Updated July 2019)

I found sighthound to be rather simplistic, it bombed on age, called my accord a UPS truck, and my Camry it called a van. I hope google's tensorflow or whatever is better. The Google Pictures facial sorting is scary how adept it is.

Rather interesting to watch this character...

Tempered Glass is like transparent steel. Dear god and all else, go downstairs and check out screws on your strike and hinge. Mine had 5/8", wtf. I wondered why it bent when I tryed to force it open from maglocking. Spax 10x3 now.

Got robbed... looking for ideas to make me more secure

Use pressure treated gound contact 2x2, it won't take a mower or car, if so 2x4 the green looking ones. You can use a 4x4 but it's awkward to mount through.

Script to Detect Colour, Make and Model of Car and People from IP Camera (Updated July 2019)

Using Python you can HTTP POST some JSON command sets, it does most things a web client of blue iris can. Mr Coffee has a nice setup to talk to him, just don't plan on JSONing BI to talk through cameras... :)

Kindle Fire/Android as dedicated viewers (stability?)

I got a fire 8" kicking around, I wanted to do same thing. Especially profile switching. Until I cough up cash for an RFID reader for my maglock which would "disarm" blueiris once confirming user. Or, recognizing license plate. That stuff!

Got robbed... looking for ideas to make me more secure

My two cents: Have a hotel style door that locks instantly. Always have keys. My back door is maglocked to do so.

Does BI only work with two hard drives?

BI thinks each folder is a drive with it's own finite space. I don't understand it and Ken seems to think it is ok. I use different clip folders for different years. Yeah...

JSON Cmd to TALK... doesn't exist... does it?

I was going to setup a JSON script routine to read my arduinos via com port since com ports do little to BI, however, I noted the JSON command list isn't quite comprehensive. In fact, the "talk" command isn't listed in the context drop downs, only shown on the UI control panel. ... Just got back...

How can I trigger a siren or strobe light with BI

I'm looking to migrate away from BI to reed switches. Tired of flapping papers, shadows, walk-bys triggering a "door alarm". Just need a bunch of arduinos to network all the sensors into a nexus that runs BI and displays house data.

How can I trigger a siren or strobe light with BI

For the lights and siren i would find a camera with an alarm "relay", or use a arduino and a relay. I have a pair of police strobes I'm meaning to connect up.
