    Laser/LED pointer prevention - please help!

    Those are pretty lame cables both in terms of wire size and composition. On the lighting, when there's a big change in the light level, the image can be useless until the camera adjusts to the new lighting intensity.

    I've been bit a few times by not pressing the "apply" or "ok" buttons after making a change. As something else to try, make the changes using configTool.

    Totally a personal preference based on your assessment of benefits vs. liabilities for your situation. I'll say only that it's a lot easier to put the card in before you mount the camera, than to do it later after changing your mind.

    Are you sure about this? I've never seen anything in the standards other than performance requirements like bandwidth, crosstalk, etc. There's nothing about conductor size, material, or DC resistance. Due diligence is required when selecting what to use.

    What is the thermal calibration? I can't report on my camera because I don't spend any time close to it.

    As an added note, only the fixed focal S3s have the new mounting base. The S3 varifocal still has the old type base.

    I sent a form to the treasury for a savings bond registration name change. They at least sent an email that they received it, and it will take at least 20 weeks. It's very close to 30 weeks now.

    NVR Remote Access

    For remote access I use Teamviewer remote desktop, so I can do anything remotely that can be done from home. Of course, the computer at home needs to be running. I use a laptop for for the remote client. There are smartphone clients but they're pretty tedious to work with.
