Oh, didn't know that. Will have to try it.
*Update* - Yes, you are right! It can be done from BlueIris as you describe. Would help if I took some time to read the instructions :) Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the info. I updated the instructions to describe how it can be done thru the gui. Also, I meant to say the preset specific position needs to be set on the camera :)
v4.2.2.5 = no  .....but I was able to get it working! Hopefully Ken will be able to fix the issue and have Blue Iris find the settings automatically from the camera, but meanwhile this worked for me.
The problem is that Blue Iris is not able to query the camera Onvif settings...
Oh I see. I was thinking you were trying to connect to an actual NVR device. I'm not really familiar with the PC server software version, but it might have something to do with the software version you are using. Hopefully someone with the right answer can chime in, but I think the updated...
What are your substream settings? (Configuration>Advanced Configuration>Video/Audio>Stream Type drop down = Sub Stream)
Also, take a look at the attached images and select the red marked areas to take another snapshot (if different from what you were doing)
How's the image quality during daytime? Image quality at night is harder to get with 3mp, especially if you are not using any additional external lights. You can experiment lowering the exposure setting to 1/12 instead of 1/30, but this will lead to blurry pictures for moving objects. Maybe...
Not too long ago I was also trying to help a forum user with a Zmodo camera and BI, and after not being able to get anywhere, he contacted Zmodo support for help. This is what they told him:
"He thanks for the hel last night, I called zmodo today and found out what is going on. Apparently all...
I was playing with BI settings trying to reduce some of the CPU usage for my computer and changed the JPEG quality to 50%, instead of the default 85% for all my cams and my CPU usage actually increased. Is that normal? Once I restored the settings, CPU went back down to original readings...
Judging at the size of the time stamp on the images, looks like OP was viewing the substream video feed + screenshots taken from the web stream from BI iPhone client = exactly that, bad quality images.
Thanks! That did the trick. Was getting confused with the ? mark. Using your example I was using; luup.inet.wget("192.168.1.134:8021/cam/BK3?pos=8") instead of luup.inet.wget("192.168.1.134:8021/cam/BK3/pos=8")
Problem fixed!
*Update*
Received a response from Ken with the following syntax...
Thanks for the info. I'll try that, but when I looked thru the help file I did not find the 7+1 = Preset 1, 7+2 = Preset 2, etc. Did find the /cam/{cam-short-name}?pos=x where x= 0=left, 1=right, 2=up, 3=down, 4=home, 5=zoom in, 6=zoom out.
That's what I ended up doing, but still no response. Meanwhile, I was able to find a solution by calling the preset for the PTZ using the camera's manufacturer (Dahua) http command. This method is probably more effective, since you don't have to send the command to BI, then wait for BI to call...
I really need to refresh my networking skills :) Anyway, I did experience a similar issue before with the camera giving me a Network Anomaly error, but it was due to changing the http port from it's default.
Issue is your gateway. If possible, resetting to defaults would be the easiest way, but meanwhile you should be able to use pc/laptop and change the NIC card IP to 192.168.1.254, Subnet: 255.255.255.0, GW: 192.168.1.254 and connect the pc/laptop and camera to a switch. Use the web gui to...
Welcome to the club! Since you read all 9 pages, here is another thread to keep you busy :D

Can you trigger a preset for a PTZ with a http command in Blue Iris?
Would I be able to use a similar command (http://IP_ADDRESS_OF_BI_SERVER:PORT/admin?camera=camera_short_name&trigger&user=XXXXX&pw=XXXXXX) but also call a preset for a PTZ camera in Blue Iris?
IMO, the blame should be on those with auto update on. Do you let Microsoft do auto updates on your system too? If your system is stable and you are happy with it, why take the chance to update without even knowing what changes were made? I'm with @fenderman on this one. Looking forward to...
Is that a common occurrence? Seems like the "spot" for many. If it was me, I would install one of those battery/solar motion lights up on the tree. Something like this somewhere in the red marked area...
