No Attic or Eaves on New Install

Stapling ethernet cable is never a good idea. I would suggest access through the buildup like you mention and then pvc electrical conduit straight up to the camera location with a junction box at the camera. It would provide a nice clean look, and the conduit can be painted to help it blend with...

Will someone get this guy a new mouse? Maybe one from Microsoft? Don't forget the mouse condom :banghead:

One B54IR Z4E down during the storm

Well, unscrewed the camera from the junction box and guess what came out the bottom? Water. I don't understand how water got into the junction box as they have a rubber seal on the cover. Something wasn't aligned correctly or something. The connector had water in it as well - but only to that...

Getting idiots to pick up their trash

I viewed this on Amazon and played the video just to get an idea of the sound. Needless to say, the volume on the laptop was a bit too high and the 4 dogs went crazy. Kinda like when you click on a video on one of those you-know-what sites and it gets everyone's attention. Doh!

One B54IR Z4E down during the storm

Your guess is as good as any. I can't see there being water intrusion in the junction box(es) as they are typically water-tight, but I guess anything is possible. I'll inspect the installation later this morning.

One B54IR Z4E down during the storm

I hear you, but the other camera right below it is fine. Again, I'll have to inspect the installation tomorrow. I report my findings.

One B54IR Z4E down during the storm

Forgot to use dielectric grease but did use the water-resistant coupler covers. Both have their own waterproof junction boxes connected together with an O-ring sealed connector. As I mentioned, still raining, so I'll have to check everything at the camera pole tomorrow

One B54IR Z4E down during the storm

The 5442 Z4E I put up recently went dark during the thunderstorm we are having. It sits right above the B54IR ZE which is working, and both are connected via combiner/splitter. I swapped the connections from the splitter at the NVR and the 2 channels status also swapped. I even replaced the...

    2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

Exactly. I'm sure production costs have stabilized with this model. Similar in concept, different in design. I would expect a new model with global shutter to increase the roll-out price. I'm sure Andy will let us know as soon as he is able to.

    2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

While similar setup, totally different camera. No price has been announced yet on this cam from Empiretech. I wouldn't set expectations that the prices will be the same, could be more, could be less. We will know as soon as Andy knows

Is my neighbor interfering with my cameras?

Sounds like there is a lot more going on there than we can help with. If she is your ex and is not living there, it's time to secure your living quarters and possessions. If she is still living with you, in my opinion, it's time to go your own way. I was in a similar situation with my first...

    NVR freezing (sometimes) Question?

Just to get an idea of your network topology, the router is connected to one of the 10-port switches and the cameras and NVR connected to the same switch or are the cameras and NVR on the second switch and connected to the first switch in a daisy-chain?
