So is a 15 FPS that important to BI?

If you have the storage space to use and CPU to spare then go for it. The only benefit would be if you are trying to review a fast moving recorded event. I would have to disagree on being able to distinguish between 15 and 25fps. The human eye definitely has the capability of seeing more than...

Strange, I have no idea on this one. Maybe try a different version and see if it's a possible glitch?

    trouble with remote access

Is your phone actually connected to your vpn? Make sure to change your WAN setting to match your LAN... your BI app might be trying to connect to your public ip

    trouble with remote access

As long as your device is connected to your vpn, you do not need to do anything within BI. Like stated dont port forward if you have setup openvpn correctly.

    Blue Iris and 360 fisheye

Hey guys, I know BI added the feature for using a 360 fisheye camera a while back. Does anyone have some examples on how this is used within BI and maybe some sample video? Thanks!

What happens when a POE RJ45 gets wet...

Soooooo.... this happened today. I had some buried conduit with a junction box to join regular cat5e to exterior cat5e to be able to run bare wire up a tree to a camera. After a torrential down pour and flooding the camera on the tree went out... My junction box wasn't properly sealed (my...

Stunnel and getting a signed SSL Cert -

Woah that's a lot of info! Thank you so much for taking to time and typing up all that. That helps me better understand the whole process and seems like entirely too much work for something that will be assessed privately and not shared. @dahukvision Are you familiar with using stunnel enough...

@Mike I have had a couple instances where I had been planning to use one. Which one did you buy? I have a client thinking of adding a camera or two at his boat dock that is about 300ft away. BUT, there are huge palm trees in between. Would something like that work? I know it's not a huge...

IPCT What did you get for Christmas?

I have been wanting to learn to weld for a while now and have had a few projects that I could have used one... It's nothing special just a harbor freight flux 125a one. Believe it or not for a HF welder it's actually got some good reviews on youtube. If I find myself using it more than I...

Stunnel and getting a signed SSL Cert -

Hey guys, first of Merry Christmas! I am in the process of creating a video on how to setup and configure stunnel with Blue Iris. I have spent the past few weeks tinkering with stunnel and have successfully configured it on my system. As a side note, while I am very familiar with Blue Iris I...

Thanks for sharing... learned something new :D After a quick fact check I came up with this repeating statement "All Dell motherboards are Dell Proprietary and the pinouts are not documented."

    Quick Refurb Question

    1. Not 100% sure but I dont see why not. Most cases can support multiple sizes of the motherboard 2. I've never heard of a manufacturer not letting you upgrade hardware or add a card to a blank PCI slot. 3. I believe my HP Compaq SSF PCs have 6 SATA connectors. I will confirm later when I get...

    Quick Refurb Question

I am not even arguing that point that anyone can slap the "refurbished" label on ebay and call it a day. But from my experience buying at least 10 computers from Ebay all of them came in cleaned out looking fresh.

    Quick Refurb Question

For me personally - size matters. I need the smallest computers possible to fit in cabinets, desks, under dressers or however I can hide them (while still getting good air circulation of course). You can get up to 10TB on a Western Digital Purple 3.5 inch drive. So on a HP Compaq thats 20TB...

    Quick Refurb Question

I have to disagree on your generalization that buying a "Refurbished" PC on ebay is crap. I have bought at least 10 this year and I have been happy with all of the purchases except 1 which had a little more scratches than I wanted. If a seller is selling only 1 computer... you look at the...

    Quick Refurb Question

If you go through Dell or HP business outlet you are usually guaranteed some type of 1 year + warranty. The computers bought from the outlets usually are still under some manufacturer warranty too which means they have been used and in service for less than 3 years. When buying on Ebay, you...
