    Hi, You can only connect as many cameras as you have Channels. Don't scrimp on the NVR as you'll kick yourself when you want to add the fifth camera.. Or in my case the Ninth.. :) Paul

    Normally you'd plug the POE Cameras directly into the NVR ports and either they would auto connect or you would have had to set the IP in the camera previously? What are you trying to set it to and what's the reason behind it? Just checking, what's the LAN IP set to?

    I guess it depends of where the cable comes out of the house etc. Personally I've gone for just the single cable, but it does come out of the house two stories up, so it'd be a ball ache to use a junction box that high.

    I use a similar set up. VPN server running on my Synology NAS, with openVPN on my mobile devices. Once attached to the VPN you can use your app of choice to view cameras. IVS-****, tinyCam Pro etc...

    It was the iframes that seemed top resolve it for me. Frame rate is at 10 and iframes is at 10 and no issues with life feed any more. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

    On my Amazon Fire TV I'm using IP Cam Viewer Free for now, which connects directly to my NVR, but should accept the raw streams from the Camera. Seems to work quite well to view on my main TV.

    Can you try resetting the cameras to default, I had a Chinese Dome that wouldn't connect as it had a weak password. I factory reset it and the plug and play just kicked in.

    Ok, I sorted it with the a little help from Nayr. Seems that I was loading a plugin in FF and not the ActiveX control. Once I got round that I could set it up in the web page. All up and running, connected to the DVD and recording as a shake down test. Just need to build the box now.. :)

    You can use NOIP with a VPN, as I used to. Just makes it a touch more secure, so I guess it really depends on who you are installing for. :)

    Then I used NOIP for years without any real issues, apart from the 30 day confirmation checks becoming a pain. I used their free option with no issues.
