    Export clip crash

Just sent you a message with the .99 installer that was on my computer. Maybe they took that version down because there were other issues? Up to you if you want to try it.

What version are you running? This was a known bug in 5.9.9.98.

New CodeProject.AI Object Detection (YOLO11 .NET) Module

That’s a good tease. Will this be internal to BI in v6?

BI Version 7.9.9.98 stuck exporting a 0 byte MP4 and in a crash loop

The same thing happened to me on 5.9.9.98. I was able to cancel the export by quickly navigating to the export queue immediately after a relaunch, but before the next crash. I emailed support about the export crash problem and they replied: After updating to .99 it was working fine again.

    5.9.9 - January 17, 2025 - More Pre-6.0 feature releases

I installed .94 and video quality on mobile looks better. Are you seeing the same improvement? From the changelog:

    5.9.9 - January 17, 2025 - More Pre-6.0 feature releases

Ken got back to me about the low quality, low bitrate issue when viewing on mobile. First he replied: And in a second email he said: So we'll see how it works when .94 is released.

    5.9.9 - January 17, 2025 - More Pre-6.0 feature releases

I've noticed this too over the past several versions. Bitrate is set to 8192 kbps, but Connections tab shows it's only pulling around 600 kbps to mobile. I emailed support this morning to ask about it.

Tapatalk is working again! I'm not sure if @Mike fixed it or if something else changed, but I'm grateful it's working!

Maybe 6.0 will have a little different look :)

Ha, that's stupid but I love it. :) Do you think it's intentional?

Thanks! Still no luck. Lacking permission to like, reply, post, or view attachments. I logged out of the forum in the Tapatalk app, force-quit it, logged back in, and no change.

Hi @Mike, the forum shows you as "online" currently, so I'm tagging you to please fix the Tapatalk plugin permissions. I hate to pester, but the squeaky wheel (hopefully) gets the grease. Thank you!

I’m seeing those errors as well. Plus, I tried replying with Tapatalk but that’s also broken so had to use a web browser instead. It worked after several attempts.

@Mike are you able to restore the Tapatalk plugin permissions? I realize this only affects a subset of users, but it stopped working last week during your maintenance, and I’d love to be able to reply and post again. Please let me know if I can help with any testing. Thanks!

@Mike since your maintenance this week, Tapatalk now has permission problems. It's lacking permission to reply to posts or view image attachments, despite being logged in. The mobile website is great, but I also love Tapatalk for customizable notifications. Can this please be restored? Thanks...

    Blue Iris on Apple TV

I use this app on the Apple TV: CCTV Viewer by Kevin Marshall https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cctv-viewer/id1450658761?platform=appleTV You have to enter the URL for each camera or group when you first set it up, but after that it loads quickly.

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

It appears that Scrypted is mostly a single developer, Koushik Dutta, based in Seattle, much like Blue Iris is also a solo developer. Meanwhile, Unifi has who knows how many people working on the platform.

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

I agree, and still welcome more competition in the space. Is there any way to try UniFi Protect? I'd love to test how the app interactivity feels. Do I just need to make friends with someone who is running it? :)

Is there a monthly fee for Scrypted? Using the demo, I wish the video would play as you scrub the timeline. It appears to freeze until you stop scrolling the timeline, then resumes playback.

    5.9.9 - January 17, 2025 - More Pre-6.0 feature releases

What's your preferred app to read .rtf on Windows 11? I'm curious to see how he'll format the rtf as entries are added, and hope it will be easily parsed by scripts/automation. I would think a plain .txt would be more friendly, but I should be happy we have this at all!

Appreciate you posting these changes buried in the help file! I wish Ken made more detailed release notes. There are often useful changes that I don’t hear about until someone mentions it, because they weren’t listed in the release notes or help file “update notes” section.
