    Got mine working finally with https! Thanks to you for that! I just had to correct the IP address routed to the correct one and the remote viewing worked on https. Now on to learning a bit more about alerts on blue iris and the best setting to go with.

    Now i could be wrong as i am no expert but my understanding is that this allows videos transmitted over the internet to be encrypted when remotely viewed or so i think. blue iris encrypts user and password with https but not the video transmitted i believe, and this requires a stunner service...

    Yes you are right, 8080 is port forwarded on the router to my laptop running Blue Iris. I am pretty sure i have the same above mentioned way of setup for external viewing on my router, i will double check once again and confirm as soon as i get the chance.     Yes the stunnel.pem is in the config directory, i did verify this while i was trying to verify if the certificate even exists.

    Have tried unchecking secure only on blue iris webserver - no change in behavior I tried the stunnel DN setup for personal certificate setup - this also renders same results. Not sure what else to try given that i am running trials based on advise over the internet, as i am no networking...
