made some pics of the temporarily mountig of the ds-2cd2132F in relation to the IR glare problem mentioned earlier as far as I can tell, there nothing nearby to cause the IR reflection, so I really think it's the foam of the lens not touching the dome because it's turned to it's max position

Why should I avoid the 3MP turret ? I was offered 4 DS-2CD2332I 3MP 2.8mm camera's here in the Netherlands for 350 euro. This is 87,5 euro each. Roughly USD 95$ a piece.

Here are some pics, first one is IR off, second one is IR on. Camera is mounted on a straight wall with nothing in its way.

I've allread tried in different positions but stays the same. Without the dome cover the image is great. I'm considering buying the ds-2cd2332i turtle cam to solve the problem.

there's nothing near the lens, it points down from the second floor towards the driveway

Thank you Fenderman for pointing out this fix. Reading the instructions it seems that my problem is caused by mounting them directly on a vertical wall. Therefore the lens is turned to its max position and the foam isn't making full contact with the dome.
