    Ahh on, so that's why if I try the NVR address and a port directly it didn't work. But I tried the camera link and it just passed me to the cameras IP address, even though it's on the cameras subnet. It has to be something to do with me fixing the IP addresses of the cameras on the NVR...

    I've tried a bunch of the snap shot urls /cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi, /cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi/chn=1 /cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi/channel=1 from ispyconnect site, but cannot get the link for my nvr. Anyone have any pointers?

    I've got a camera that up until yesterday seemed to be going, but now I see it not responding. Its behind an NVR, so if I hook my laptop up to the nvr and put myself on the same subnet I can see the camera pinging for a bit, then it seem to stop. A couple of times I managed to telnet on to it...

    noip is free, and generally most routers can update it for up. Effort is minimal IMO.

    I upgraded the firmware of my 4104 successfull. Putting down DH_NVR4xxx_Eng_P_V3.203.0000.0.R.20170612.bin Can I get IVS for the two cameras I have that support it? Trip wires seem to be a much better idea that motion detection.

    Trying to install the new 2.0.1 version of SmartPSS but on either 2008 and 2012 it wont start. I can't see anything in the event viewer or any logs. Anyone got it running?

    Hmm not sure if it took. Seems I'm on the same version, and it's rebooted. Is a web browser upgrade not recommended? I assume it will reset all settings after upgrade. I should look at plugging in a screen and doing a USB upgrade.

    I'd done all that in that process of of making them static (and normally have to do it to get the cameras back. It seems to grab a couple of them and duplicate them. What do I lose if I reset the nvr? ie what settings?

    So it took me a while, but I finally did the static ip addresses on each camera. One is stil external to the NVR...but this one has always been happy and never lost address. Didn't turn off the auto reboot of the NVR. And again, the NVR list the cameras. Any other ideas apart from turn off...
