I'm running the latest version of the BI server. I noticed that the 3 video encoder profiles in my iOS app don't match the settings in the BI server, webserver, advanced settings. Has anyone else seen this?
Well I got it working finally. The fix seemed to be changing the name of the MQTT Client ID from BlueIris back to mcsMQTT. Seems odd to me, but maybe there's a good reason. It's been running rock solid ever since.
Well, I'm not sure if it goes offline or not I guess. But if I try to run the test in the MSQTT setup menu after a few minutes it fails with the error 16001
I'm pretty much at the point of giving up on this. I have no idea what to try next. It just doesn't seem to work.
OK thanks, I'll see if I can figure it out. Another thing I noticed is that the mcsMQTT broker seems to go unresponsive after awhile. I have to muck around in the general settings again to get it to be able to successfully run a test again. Have you seen this behaviour?
I rebooted my homeseer and the test is working now. I removed my username and password for the MQTT plugin as well.
I've got the following setup and do see some sort of MQTT message, but I don't think it's what it should be....
This is my MQTT request below...
This is what I'm seeing in...
Hey guys;
So I have my Homeseer PI device setup and working withthe mcsMQTT plugin installed. I'm having no luck however getting BlueIris to talk to it. I'm getting the following when trying to test the connection. Any ideas?
OK, right makes sense. I've been looking at the PI version of their controller.

That would be great if you could start a thread with more detail. When you say HS3, is this just the software running on your BI windows PC, or do you have it running on a Homeseer hardware device?
Thanks for sharing. This looks pretty cool and definitely a decent option.
I was also wondering if there was a way to tap into the eco systems of all the popular zwave type devices?
Hey Everyone;
I've searched but I haven't found many threads regarding how to setup Blue Iris to be able to trigger a light to turn on etc.
Not sure what options might be available or if there was a best way of doing this?
What I found so far is the BI supports MQTT, so maybe this combined...
Oh, it looks like the service was running on a different port (32168) I changed that in the AI menu and now the dashboard loads up. So maybe it's working now.
Hey guys;
I installed CP AI yesterday which was straightforward and easy to get going. It appears however, that after a reboot, it no longer seems to work. I'm running my server as a service on the latest version. Has anyone run into this and found a solution?
Thanks looney2ns
Disabling the hardware acceleration in chrome did fix it.
That's great to have a work around, but hopefully this can be fixed properly in a future update.
Hey guys;
I've tried to update my 2 servers to the latest 5.5.9.6 stable update. UI3 on the one server appears fine, but on the 2nd server I'm getting scrambled green video feeds at times, not all the time. I'm seeing it 100% on the combined multi camera view. I'm sure I'm not the only one...
Hey guys;
I'm trying to export a small portion of video from my continuous recorded video. When I right click on the camera window, convert/export, set start/end frames are all greyed out.
I searched but couldn't find a solution.
Thanks
Just curious, if you create an app password, can any email client use that password to send an email? I've been looking for a replacement for a simple command line based mailer program that I used to notify me of power outages. I'd like to continue to use gmail if I can.
I guess I should have posted this in troubleshooting. bp2008, have you confirmed that it's working with OAuth? I'll have to upgrade to get that feature.
Hey Everyone;
Does anyone have a work around for email notifications when using gmail? My daily photos stopped being sent and when trying to debug it, I found out that Google turned off access for insecure apps.
Thanks for the info guys. I do think I noticed that usage went up when I enabled gpu acceleration, maybe I'll just leave it off. I'm running continuous record on the lower substream.
