    DS-2CD2332-I time issues

So 5.1.6 + correct DST = correct time. And 5.2.0 + backwards DST = correct time. Props for figuring that out! :) Mine are 5.1.6 and earlier. I wouldn't even know why they'd have touched and messed up that setting, if it was working fine?

Yes and no to the land line problem. The traditional phone lines stay up the longest and are great if you still have an old handset as backup which don't require local power. Which (going further off topic) is the major issue I have with VZ Fios rollouts that I've seen. They have neglected the...

Economic solution to view IP CAMs on TVs

Inefficient programming, memory leaks, ... who knows. It is a miracle it sometimes works at all. One runs into so many compatibility issues every day between os updates, browser updates, website updates, plugin updates, app updates, ... that you start turning updates off. I tried looking at...

$70 is per smartphone shared 700 min + 2GB/line with Big Red ... alternatives are there, but either I suffer with less to no rural coverage or I get less allowance and then outside of the home area = roaming, neither of which do you any good if you are on the road a lot. $40 is per land line...

... :hypnotysed: In the mean time we're paying $40 per line and $70 per smartphone  Which of course you are offsetting with VOIP numbers and advanced equipment. So you are running SPA500 series? Like SPA525G2? What is required on the server and software side for IP PBX? I like our...

    Setting up a new DVR

I like iVMS because of its price, lightest cpu load and obvious compatibility with hikvision cameras. I haven't explored alerts yet, because my cameras are outdoors and any bug flying past at night, tree shadow moving during the day, etc etc will trip the video motion sensor, causing it to...

An affortable way to protect your cam from the elements

That is a pretty cool. idea and nicely executed. For me it might causes more issues with spiders, but I can see that as a nice sun, rain, snow, ... shield.

    Setting up a new DVR

I think both iVMS and Axxon software packages require the storage drive to be local via a drive letter. So if you can map the drive it may work. But, I don't recall a network storage option per se, as it does exist in the camera interfaces to store to sd card, network drives etc.

    ? on Aliexpress Camera

CCTV CH camera in my limited experience sends next business day, if they have the product on hand. But you can email Julia, and she'll let you know. It is daytime over there now, so you'd likely get a fast response, maybe even in minutes. I've had DHL deliver within 3 days. Early Am CH monday...

Economic solution to view IP CAMs on TVs

Yes, there are a few different options, depending on a combination of: - hardware or software nvr - native mosaic or rendered stream - additional cpu load for nvr or not - wired or wireless - independent of the local area network or not - single display or multiple displays - additional devices...

    DS-2CD2332-I time issues

RE: Nov vs Oct. Different parts of the world start and / or stop a little earlier. That one camera has rebooted several times now. Its time ticks correctly like the other ones. So, it shouldn't be something where I set the time yesterday and 24hrs they'd be off again. Which is what happened...

    DS-2CD2332-I time issues

Reboot The reboot seems to force a time check. Otherwise the camera will not check the time till its internal routine reaches the interval time point. 1440min = 24hrs. Start & stop time Now the inverting the start & stop has me stumped. With DST ON, start MAR, End NOV, Offset 60min, Reboot =...

    DS-2CD2332-I time issues

Just took an additional moment to look over the settings. Mine were manual, but off by 5-20-30secs between cams, then set to automatic, which meant they all synced, but then jumped off an hour. This may help ... just found a DST tab :) Web interface > Configuration > Advanced Configuration >...

    Youtube streaming how to?

Right. Either the web service pulling it directly via the ip & path from the camera or system. Or pushing it from the system into the web service. So, option 2 and it is going through Flash Media Live Encoding. Then user/pw I would assume are your youtube username & password? Since you are...

    Youtube streaming how to?

The image shack image is too small to view and read, really. It comes up the size of post-it note. Generally speaking, if you want to live stream something and you need to enter the source path; you'd either have to give it the stream output of the camera and its username and password, or...

Reco please for an IP camera trained on driveway 125 feet away

(the forum ate my post! :( ) Modules do add up. I tell my wife every component whether switch or controller add an extra $50. But I couldn't be happier with the functionality. Not cheap. Had to do a fair bit of work, but we did not want the lights to be on all night or throughout the course of...

Economic solution to view IP CAMs on TVs

You are welcome :) I've never had trouble with a VGA port one a vizio, going on 10 years, I figure. One thing I'm still not clear on, is if you have had live dual screen output from the nvr? Beyond that, I guess you'll be forced to look at trying an "official" long cable or a more involved...

    compatability

Welcome, BlueIris is PC software "System requirements: Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows 8, 32 or 64 bit" so you'd need to run windows via Bootcamp, which is a bit of a waste of a mac. Or you'd have to run it as a virtual machine. But given that BlueIris does video analysis for motion detection...

    NAS (NFS) configuration problem

By the way. The above you describe is exactly what Hikvision iVMS pcnvr software did on my video storage drive. Pre-allocating about a 1TB worth per folder, in 256MB chunks of sequentially numbered MP4s till it filled up 2TB, close to 8000 of them iirc. If you look at the drive, thinking you'll...
