SD59430U IVS Event Lag, other issues.

Yes I don't have a Poe nvr either but I'm using unmanaged switches. The plan this summer is to re run all the network cables to a central data cab using just 1 switch. As you start adding more cameras to the setup in a "as you go" mentality the cabling tends to get complex and messy with...

SD59430U IVS Event Lag, other issues.

I already run my cam off 240v so that's not my issue. Let me know how you get on with the cat6 cable as will be good to know if that sorts it. I like you am using 24awg cat5e solid copper. I'm due to run all my cables again as I tidy up the install this summer and put everything in a...

    DH-SD6CE245U-HNI Help With Setup

Yeah I agree I was initially referring to the initial answer that auto tracking was only on ivms and could only be set from present. The intelligence ptz tick box is rubbish at best even the ivms rules version can be a little flaky

    DH-SD6CE245U-HNI Help With Setup

Are you sure? I'm sure in the newer firmware for my particular ptz SD59225U-HNI That there is now an option to actually just auto track. I haven't played with it because it's about as vague as a vague thing as when you tick the box there's no customisation at all.

    Cam Placement Advice

Funny that as I've literally just last night upgraded the firmware to get the day night switch. May as well as not bothered because I thought I'd be able to force it into b&W at night. But it's greyed out when you run day night mode

That's true but it looks great with the white light on.

    Review IPC-T5442TM-AS-LED (Full Color, Starlight+)

Just looking at the videos, The brightly lit scenes are great. But I'm a bit underwhelmed by the b&w video. It seems there's an awful lot of artifacts and blur. I will admit I am watching it on the mobile device, but for whatever reason maybe it's a setting tweak or 2 but I was expecting...

    IR Reflection

That's half the problem, I run it through an NVR. I could use schedule but in the UK we have mega daylight time swings so I'd be forever adjusting it. I'm hoping that the new firmware with the day and night profile will sort it out at least that way hopefully I can force it into B&W. I'm...

    IR Reflection

Coach lights are good for this sort of thing. Take a look at the thread for the new starlight cams that have leds instead of ir. This will give you an indication on how white light would work. I'm considering it myself to add more light to a couple of dimly lit areas. Your quite lucky, 1...

    Review IPC-T5442TM-AS-LED (Full Color, Starlight+)

I agree with the above regarding the led lights. Although I suppose some people would have a use case for the led version. I have a specific location 1 would be handy as I have a very dimly lit dark hole down the side of my house which the local drug users decided to call home for heroin...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E AI Varifocal Bullet

That looks promising! Do you have to draw the specific region to where you want the face detection magic to take the shot as I see from the first image you have a green box

    Corridor mode

thanks that's what i thought as well. for some strange reason when i do that and rotate the image it just gives me the same image as before. unless of course it isn't and i just cant see for looking!
  22. R

    Corridor mode

Well this one is a turret. But from digging around it seems like you have to physically rotate the lens then flip the image in the ui. Problem is when I've tried that it basically just gives me the same image I had before

    Corridor mode

Might be a dumb question, but I can't seem to get my head around putting a dahua cam in corridor mode the cam specifocally is a 5232r-ze. Is it just a case of flipping the image 90° ?

    Day night switch fixed

Just got 2 black HDW5231R-ZE from Andy with latest firmware loaded. As well as not requiring a plugin on chrome they seem to have fixed the day/night switch issue. Or st least they've put it as an option now. Hopefully they'll bring it to all the current cams. @EMPIRETECANDY Do you...

advice picking between low light cameras? (DS - 2CD2135FWD I)

Regarding moving objects l, if your sensible with your assumptions before you start and know what limitations the camera will have in terms of its ability then you can reach a happy medium. It will capture people walking past etc without too much trouble, but cars that move fast over 20mph then...

    IR Reflection

Yes it should do a little bit. Or I'm sure you can actually put it into manual mode and adjust the ir that way. I know I definately can on my ptz but can't remember off hand about the turrets
