Again my apologies. I had just 2 days before got my hands on one and like many, believed the hype. It IS brighter. In IR and Daytime. However the image problems (softness, blur and noise at night color OR IR) make it a poor choice for almost any scene unless you have a TON of white light. And...- bigredfish

I don't recall recommending the T54PRO-ZE? If so I apologize. I don't recommend the 54PRO series at all currently. As far as reading plates and seeing people and cars, at night? I have no experience with either of those, but any interface will have a learning curve unless it’s so stripped then to be useless. Amcrest should be similar to Dahua I’d recommend this one (Dahua OEM)...- bigredfish

New Camera time?
Replace the lens cover. They deteriorate over time, especially from sun. It’s a layer but it can’t be repaired. I don’t know if anyone sells them though- bigredfish
