    But Wait! There's More!

I couldn't resist. I saw this earlier today someone mentioned adding a mic to a camera and this was the suggested one. So I was checking it out, it took me a second and then I saw it.

That's what I used to do, just wait until she was out of town visiting her parents or something. No time for that anymore, stay at home mom with two baby's. I just have to deal with it.

Is what my wife said to me today as I was mounting a camera in the garage. You already have three outside the garage, why do you need one inside too? Geez I haven't even gotten started yet, I have one coming in the mail this week from the classifieds and I am waiting for the next sale to buy...

    3D & 2D NR

When we are setting the NR on our cameras are the 3D & 2D set to the same balance? I had my first case of disappearing legs and face tonight. I was messing the NR and had turned it up to 45 on the 3D and 35 on the 2D. After that I turned them both back down to 30. I hadn’t noticed it before...

I said the same thing to my wife last night. Election Day needs to be a federal holiday. Nobody works, go vote.

    US Elections (& Politics) :)

This place is so corrupt. After the last presidential election and this city I’ve lost complete faith in this state and Philadelphia. Have you ever seen the documentary 2000 Mules.

I I saw this somewhere else too. I’m disgusted but not surprised at this scumbag. Filing a law suit before the count. If you can’t fill out the ballot correctly it doesn’t count. Period!

Will 3500 Twitter coders learn how to weld?

The coal mining isn’t going anywhere. I’m from the Anthracite coal region originally. I lived there for more than half my life. The coal is being sold to China just like everything else. Reading Anthracite is now expanding the Mammoth vein, they just took eminent domain of my grandfathers house...

CCTV capture: VIDEO | "Temple police seek help identifying suspects in April shooting incident"

With these stats who doesn’t carry a gun? I know I don’t leave the house without it. The place is an fn’ war zone. I’m a preferred contractor for the Phila electric CO. And work night shift on those streets. We’ve had drive by’s on our job sites. There is always gunfire it doesn’t even matter...

recorded footage is crap, but only on one cam?

I also changed my encoding to H.264. Geez what difference that makes. I'm figuring it out a little bit every day, there is so much information on this forum it's literally impossible to absorb everything all at once.

Oh sorry. I was in a hurry t get out the door we had a sitter coming @ 4:00. Yes now I see didn't have direct to disk recording checked. It looks a little better now but I really won't be able to tell until it's recording in color.

recorded footage is crap, but only on one cam?

That was the first thing I thought too, it looks like it is recording the substream. I never knew of that class action law suit. I've been using that stuff since it hit the market. I'm sure now my sensor will break since I spoke of it. I mean that's how it works right? lol

recorded footage is crap, but only on one cam?

Just another head scratcher. Only on one cam I'm having issues with my recorded footage looking like fuzzy unsharp mess. The live footage is nice and sharp like my other cams but on the playback this one is a mess. I just temporarily installed it to see if thats where I want to keep it or not...

Finally! got to install cameras and fiddle w/ settings how'd I do?

I have two more cams to put up out front, I was thinking of making the one that is going to go on the west side of the garage to cover the door in color. I don’t think ID is as important on that one because you will have to walk past the garage west car camera to get to the door anyway.

Finally! got to install cameras and fiddle w/ settings how'd I do?

Finally, on Sunday night I got to install my two driveway cams permanently. I've spent the past two nights fiddling with the exposure and picture and looking for some feedback. I tried running them in color but I couldn't get a clean enough still image. It was I'm sure good enough for some...

Is the T5442T-ZE not sensitive to the 940nm wavelength or is it just recommended to use the 850nm since it has better range?

    Computer monitors

I use an LG 26LV2500 26” tv that I picked out of the trash. I just leave it on and have it next to and a little above my monitor for my other computer. The resolution is only 1360x768 so it leaves something to be desired compared to modern tv. I also use my other computer monitor sometimes which...
