    Problem with 5th camera installation

The video traffic should not run through the router. Plug the bi computer into the Poe switch. You should be using static IP address set in the camera. In a range that is not used by the router.

    Firmware orders question

I do not know about what version to use. BUT !! An NVR is not a PC, it does not need to be upgraded unless it is fixing a known problem that is affecting your personal systems operations. You are more likely to turn the NVR into a brick than add a new feature. It is also possible that you can...

    Hi there

If it is not broken do not fix it. Ip cameras and NVRs are not PCs do not upgrade then. Unless there specific feature you need or a specific problem that needs to be fixed. You are more likely to break something or remove a feature you are using.

How to setup storage for multiple hdd?

Split the cameras between drives. Assign 1/2 the cameras to each drive. for example if you have 4 cameras at the front of the house put 2 on one drive and 2 on the other drive. So if a drive fails you still have some video on what's going on.

    CPU & Memory maxed out

Set the cameras to a maximum frame rate for 15. Set the Iframe interval to 15, so there is one Iframe per second. For the sub frames set the frame rate and iframe interval to match the main frame. These changes are made in each of the cameras, NOT in BI.

Database and all recordings randomly deleted - 5.6.0.7

You have incorrect settings. 1) do NOT use time to determine when to delete. On the New folder you have it set to 7 days, uncheck the check box. 2) On the new folder you have the size set to 10GB, It needs to be at least 1000GB. better yet set it to 4500 GB. 3) set new folder to delete, not...

Could you give some advice, please?( Should I switch to a different CPU?)

You do not need to change the CPU to support 4K. You will need 4K monitors to view the output. As directed use substreams . Record all cameras continuously. You may have problems with the RAID5 not being able to records all the streams. I use to use RAID 5 until I tried to do a failed disk...
