    I'll look into it as soon as I have access to it. Mine at home only has the paid ddns and the firmware is updated. I have the application for NOIP that keeps the ip updated about every 4min. Then again, my ip doesn't change very often.

    I have mine connected to my AV via HDMI then to the TV. Once the output display is setup you wouldn't need to change anything. The picture would be always on with the exact setting you left it at. The NVR does come with a remote, at least mine did, but I found a wireless mouse works better...
