Suggestion needed on swiftness of motion detection feature on cp plus 1 MP cam
In general, motion detection with IP cams tends to false positive (e.g. record when there is no actual intruder) vs. false negative (miss things). For the most part, the field "is not there yet" with regard to accurate motion detection with no false alarms. I suspect that we will get there in 18...- Ookie

This is correct. You are playing with fire trying to get plates with your current 4mm. You may be able to get them from some angles in good lighting conditions. But absent that, your reliability is suspect now. Go to 2.8 and you are going to be hosed. If you want to do it right, take bp2008's... -
