Where is the "protected Videos" go to?

Well if the files are gone, then they're gone. Did you look in the "Protected" database view though as @jaydeel showed?

    NODE.js 4 critical vulnerabilities

Ah geez. I just read UISP-console appliances don't have automatic updates either, and it is even harder to shoehorn in automatic updates for it. I guess I'll cancel that order.... or not.... already shipped. These guys are fast at something at least.

    NODE.js 4 critical vulnerabilities

I already updated two internet-accessible instances of node.js at my house today, can't update the third apparently as it is baked into Ubiquiti's UISP software and I can't patch it until THEY do. At least not easily. This did get me to order a UISP-console appliance so I can put it in an...

    New CRITICAL PHP vulnerability

Whenever I hear about a major vulnerability like this, I always wonder how many of the affected services will never be updated because they are running on devices that are no longer supported, don't have an update mechanism, etc.

Looking for 10x optical zoom as cheap as possible

Hmm my review post says I used the ICSee app. So I have no idea if Annke Vision works. These cams are 100+ miles away so I can't really even check.

Looking for 10x optical zoom as cheap as possible

I don't remember what app I used the first time I set one up, but it seems likely it was Annke Vision (on Android). First thing I did with that cam was get into its web interface with its stupid plugin and enable ONVIF mode and connect it to Blue Iris, so its official mobile app became useless...

    180 camera issue

Good call. That could actually just be a spider web in front of the lenses so brushing it away might be all you need.] Being so close it is just not in focus so it is only visible as big out of focus blobs at thicker spots or where light hits it from just the right angle to make it shine.

    180 camera issue

The solution to dust spots of course is to take the camera apart and blow it out with compressed air or something. Which sucks. Because it'll probably just happen again. If it is lens flare then you need to shade the camera from whatever light sources are causing it.

    180 camera issue

Those could just be lens flare due to a bright light source casting light into the lens (the light source may be out of frame). To be sure, you'd need to set up a ladder in front of that cam and do some physical experimentation. If you shine a flashlight into the lenses and see dust spots...

    DS-2DF9C453LXG-LW 4 MP 53X PTZ Dual-sensor, 1/1.2" progressive scan CMOS

I would also be curious to see a full zoom at night video from this, pointing somewhere dark. It is not that I expect the zoom distance to be significantly different than other PTZs in the 20x+ optical zoom area (specs show about 2 degree horizontal FOV which is not really unusual). But all my...

    Shrink-flation: Post your examples

But then each one would be the price of the car. And you would need 8 of them to run a midrange AI. Unless it was really bad AI I guess.

UI3: This site is asking you to sign in

You told Blue Iris's web server to use HTTP Digest authentication. That is the login prompt you're getting. It is a 100% mystery to me why it has popped up over the live video feed though. I don't use that authentication method. Switch to "Secure login page only" and it'll behave better.

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet AND Blue Iris

I'm sure people do. My dad's business used to. However I don't think that is an option for AT&T's cellular home internet service. Internet Air they call it. You have to use their modem, period, and it doesn't have a removable sim card.

    Proxmox BI setup

I've never used IVS events so I don't know any of the quirks for it. Don't know what ONVIF verification is either. There's no reason for being in a VM to affect any of that.

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet AND Blue Iris

That is awesome getting 4 bands connected at once. At one remote location I have, AT&T was the only provider with good speed and they started offering a regular home internet package there ~($60/mo). It is a heavily wooded area otherwise I'd have done starlink instead. Anyway the AT&T modem...

    Proxmox BI setup

Proxmox is quite good at most things. I've been using it at home and at work for years, without paying for any support license. One great feature is its "proxmox backup server" which you can install on a NAS as a docker container or VM and it can handle efficient incremental backups of all...

Blue Iris 'Disk Full' on Unraid SMB Share w/ the RecycleBin enabled

That is very puzzling. I have no idea how RecycleBin on unraid works or why that might affect free space detection, but Blue Iris may still have a workaround. When you set up a "Folder" for clip storage in Blue Iris, you can choose "Managed folder, unmanaged drive", which is supposed to turn...

Where to get cameras in 2026? (and the future)

The USA's camera bans make no sense to me. Years ago I thought they were just saying they were ending new FCC authorizations and existing products could continue to be sold. Then NDAA which a lot of people took to be a country-wide ban but actually only affected certain government...

    Blue Iris License Recovery

Sure, you can certainly do that. You could also email Blue Iris Support at [email protected] and ask if they can locate your key. They'd probably need additional verification, such as the name and email address that were entered into Blue Iris's settings page ("About" tab) or the...

Where to get cameras in 2026? (and the future)

Annke gets their cameras from a variety of sources. I've used 3 of their models: NCD800 This is a high-end dual lens cam using 1/1.8" 4mp sensors. Does really well for night color in my opinion (no IR support). Seems to be OEM from Hikvision. FCD600 Low-end dual lens cam with IR support...

    Blue Iris UI3

I should probably mention, in order to re-enable a disabled camera, your group needs to be configured to show disabled cameras. You can configure this in Blue Iris or in UI3's context menu > Group Settings. If you don't have that enabled, you can still go to the UI3 main menu > Full Camera...

    Blue Iris UI3

I'm adding the Enable / Disable context menu item as requested. It'll be in UI3-344. However it will not be included in the menu by default. It will be a yes/no toggle setting in the camera properties panel just above the pre-existing Enable / Disable button (so anyone who regularly uses...

    Video compression matters!

Based on your screenshot, 50% compression is yielding approximately 1.5 Mbps bit rate. That is about as low as I would go for a 1080p @ 10 FPS stream and even then, only if you were going to be recording it continuously. Because the quality will be substantially worse in the fine details with...

ptz controls greyed out in ui3

@jeremyx's answer looks AI generated since it hallucinated a setting that doesn't exist. Resetting all of UI3's storage would indeed fix it, but that is the nuclear option. The real solution is, while you have a PTZ camera selected, right click the PTZ preset buttons and click Enable PTZ...
