    Upgrade Dahua Cameras.

Move the light, buy another base and a cover plate, buy a conduit, cut it in shape and connect the two base to lower the camera to where you want it.

Is Blue Iris worth pursuing for my situation, or am I pushing it beyond its practical comfort zone?

Camera brand matters a lot when it comes to ONVIF configuration. Axis camera disabled ONVIF by default. Some cameras has ONVIF default on, but you'd have to setup a user and password. I use 10FPS and I capture license plates at 45mph+ at night! BI might give an appearance of handling camera's...

    Long Range LPR Camera?

If you decide with Axis, either Q18xx-LE or Q17xx-LE series will serve you well. I use 6-7 year old Q1785-LEs for LPR purposes. The below camera is mounted about 100 ft from the location where the picture is being captured. I use paid BlueIris, free CodeProject.AI and free ALPR database to...

    US Elections (& Politics) :)

Ask $1 BILLION tax payer money for a ball room that supposed to be PRIVATELY funded of $400 million? It was $200 million, then $300 million, then $400 million, now $1 billion. Follow what the cult leader says, right? "It's not the ballroom, it's the bunker... bleh bleh bleh." There would be...

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

Sure do, I have both CodeProject.AI and ALPR database on the same VM. I can see the VM will run out of RAM in time and then the CodeProject.AI will quit running and/or ALRP database will stop. The only way I come up with is to restart the docker or VM to make it work again...

Here is what I found. Bullet Mini LE, Dome Mini LE, and Eye Mini LE all uses the same firmware. These Companion cameras don't have a web interface, so you'd have to use AXIS Companion Classic software to downgrade the firmware. Check the box, if the camera is on 7.45.1, you're good. If not...
