    Had NVR for almost 2 weeks. I like everything so far EXCEPT the little LOUD 40mm fan. I was told before purchasing that the fan was somewhat loud in a quiet setting. I ordered a Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM 12V to try. Had good luck with Noctua before. Will let you know if that helps... M

    Mine has firmware 4.000.0000001.5 2019-12-18. Is that the latest? On the Dahua website it says there is a 08/04/2020 version. Don't have any issues so far so I have not updated. I just like to keep all the firmware versions archived on my computer. m

    I never got a mechanical chime to work, just an electronic one. Been a while but I purchased another electronic chime and it worked fine. There is a delay between the push of the doorbell and the ring of the inside chime ~3 secs or so. M

    Gees. So I did just that and no video. I works on IP Viewer 2 on the computer, just no video on NVR. All it says is "can not find the network host". Worked fine on the $59 NVR I had. Do you know if you used private or ONVIF? M

    Not sure about updating firmware on my IPC-HDW5231R-ZEs. When I login camera and do a manual check I get "It is the latest version." I have had a some issues with cameras going offline. Nothing major, sure do not want to brick my cameras. Thoughts? Thank You M

    Hard Drive setup for NVR

    Purchased a Dahua NVR-5216-4KS2. Looking at WD Purple surveillance hard drives. Looking at a single 10TB or pair of 6TB drives. Is there any performance improvement with 2 drives? If not probably going with a single since I am thinking it would be quieter. Thank you for any thoughts... M
