    Encoders & decoders are IP devices, and should be 'addressable'. Any UI available with your devices to set IP addys? Then direct traffic as needed for Tx -> Rx devices.

    Advice from @looney2ns It's usually always best before updating a firmware, that you follow this: 1-Set camera back to FULL factory defaults. 2-Update firmware. 3-Set camera once again back to FULL factory defaults. 4- Configure camera back up from scratch, don't import any exported settings.

    Agree! There are tons of devices that excel from firmware updates for fixes and upgrades, sad this is a shortcoming for Dahua. From personal experience, all my cams are Dahua running current firmware - knock on wood no problems. Do your research, read update notes and determine if the...

    Update - I am able to access live view from another PC, using multiple browsers. So the problem is not browser related, but something on the Cam PC was deleted when the plugin was removed. Reloading the plugin does not return the live view, need to figure out what is missing.

    Yes, Edge in IE mode as well as Chrome with IE Extension. No joy from either.

    It also worked w/o the plugin for me. Then installed the plugin to check it out, got the 'access internet' warning, uninstalled the plugin, now no image. Will try on another PC or phone, but won't resolve why there used to be an image but now nada.

    Yes, did reinstall the plugin using: camipaddress/webplugin.exe. The plugin did install, but still no image. Possibly Web5.0 related.

    Viewing the Cams UI - live view, decided to click on the 'install plugin' prompt. After successful install, immediately received a message from my firewall that the plugin was trying to reach the internet. Did not want that, so uninstalled the plugin from the: program files/webrec/torch/...

    Follow this, to set Hallway or Corridor mode on Dahua capable cams: 1. rotate cam (or lens if possible) 90° for a 'portrait' mode image, but sideways image 2. flip image 90° via camera UI to correct image orientation

    But I don't live on a farm, mute point. Street lighting, garage lights & entrance light provide plenty of night time illumination for usable images.

    Been running a Dell 3060 for a few years as a dedicated BI machine with no problems, using a Synology NAS for storage. Recommend maxing out RAM, and as bp2008 mentioned optimize BI CPU usage.

    As we used to say on the ship, 'belay my last'. Audio has reverted back to it's metallic, over driven screeching. First test after update & reboot all good, checked later and back to crapola.
