It looks like the latest release (6.0.2.3) may have resolved the occupied canceled alert issue.

Internal AI Causing Massive CPU/Memory Usage?

I'm running 6.0.2.2 and it has been up for over 3 days now and the ram use has been hovering around 2.3GB. I have an Intel Core i7-14700 w/32GB RAM running AI on 15 cameras with the max connects at 4.

No, I run Frigate in a docker container on a separate computer. If you want to use HA to trigger and capture clips you need have Frigate running somewhere on your network and add the frigate integration into HA.

I use Frigate to capture vehicle speeds and the snapshots leave a lot to be desired. However, you can improve these by integrating Frigate with Home Assistant and have HA handle the trigger and image capture.

Hopefully @hapstabu will do this. I'm sure Ken is getting tired of hearing from me. :)

I set everything back to my original settings and I'm still seeing occupied canceled alerts with 6.0.2.2.

Apparently this has been around for awhile. Here's a 4 year old post on Reddit discussing occupied alerts using deepstack.

All Clips view - should it also show canceled alerts

Cancelled alerts are intentionally filtered out to prevent the interface from being overwhelmed by false positives. The best way to determine how many occupied clips you are getting is to pull up your canceled alerts and enter occupied in the search field.

So I saw this post from @jrbeddow yesterday and it got me thinking that this may also be the root cause of occupied canceled alerts. I changed the analyze timing from progressive to 750ms and the occupied canceled alerts disappeared. Keep in mind that I'm just recoding people so YMMV if you are...

Blue Iris Version 6.0.1.24 Now Supports Custom Models

I'm testing a different solution with yolov10s that looks promising. So far it's been running for 16 hours with 0 occupied canceled alerts. I'm going to let it run at least 24 hrs before I post anything.

The drag and drop function appears to be broken. However, you can still hold down the control key and double click on the alert to open the .dat file.

Keep in mind that there seems to be significantly less of these occurring during the dark hours.

Changing the max connects didn't help much. After letting this run most of the day I still have a significant number of occupied canceled alerts.

Blue Iris Version 6.0.1.24 Now Supports Custom Models

So I've played around with this and with the max connects set to 32 on my i7-14700 with 32 gigs of memory the total RAM usage jumped up to the mid 90% range and I was still getting occupied canceled alerts. I lowered the max connects to 12 and that seems to have done the trick. Total RAM usage...

I changed mine from 4 back to 32 and I'm still seeing them. I think the difference between yours and mine is that you have an external GPU and I don't.

I asked ChatGPT "What causes a canceled alert in blue iris to be occupied?" Here's the response... In Blue Iris, “Canceled (occupied)” on an alert basically means: Here are the most common reasons it happens, in plain terms The main causes 1. Camera is already handling another alert If...

I still think this is by design. I've got almost 350 "occupied" canceled alerts today and every one of them has something in them that AI picked up. However, none of them contain anything I have defined in the AI "To confirm" field.

While holding down the control key double click on an alert. Alternatively you can drag and drop .dat files from your "new" directory in windows explorer onto the analysis pane (lower right).

New CodeProject.AI License Plate Recognition (YOLO11) Module

Out of curiosity how is speed calculated? I'm using Frigate with just one of my cameras for this and I had to enter the precise measurement of a bounding box that the vehicle passes through.

That would make since then because AI would be looking for something in the delivery model and not a car.
