    There's equipment costs, AND labor costs. Your time to research, purchase, install and the big one - config of the software. Which is a big learning curve & always an ongoing process. My guess is the assumed labor costs far exceed the equipment.

    Rachio is great! Solid app & online interface, easy to setup. Direct replacement with most controlled irrigation systems. There are 3rd party flow meters compatible with Rachio, check the Rachio community for info.

    CAT cable has (4) twisted pairs, and each pair have a different twist ratio. This not only helps prevent interference from other cables, but also between each twisted pair. If conduit is not an option, STP (shielded twisted pair) CAT cable & connectors adds another level of protection.

    Possible to do this using Zone Triggers. Ex. Zone A is the parking spot, Zone B area behind parking spot. Triggers & Alerts when object crosses Zone A -> Zone B, set object size & timing as needed.

    HD-SDI Camera - 1080p @60Hz

    Unique application, looking for a fixed HD-SDI cam that can do 1080p @ 60Hz (or 59.9). Varifocal preferred 2.8-12mm, 1/3" CMOS will work. Dome or Turret style. The 60Hz is the hard part.

    Probably more $$ for an audio encoder & mic. Since your focus is audio - look for an IP cam with audio i/o's, then find a good surveillance mic.

    Following this, what you describe sounds correct: 1. rotate cam 90° gives you a 'portrait' mode image, but sideways image 2. flip image 90° via camera UI to correct image orientation How does this image look from the camera UI? Guessing it's the viewer you are using.
