    RF Detector?

Also, are there any peripherals (e.g mouse) plugged directly into the NVR? Might be worth testing with them unplugged in case something as silly as a faulty mouse.

    RF Detector?

Interesting. Had you started the above mentioned test yet at this point? Was the NVR recently connected?

    RF Detector?

Hmm. Let's run a test. Reset the NVR back to the overview screen. Leave disconnected from the Internet completely. Monitor for a week, see if it's stable. If it is, then connect it to the Internet for a few minutes, disconnect and monitor for the next 24hours. If it again goes weird after, and...

What a disaster of a vehicle. :screwy: :smash:

Yep, LT2P by itself is very useful for tunnelling, but not encryption!

    RF Detector?

Certainly do this. Just to make 100% sure. Very likely because your L2TP server listens on UDP, but the scanner is only scanning TCP. Scanning UDP is hard, actually. Side note, is your VPN plain L2TP or L2TP + IPsec?

Looking good. Are all the blocks green, screenshot has cut of the ports lower than about 160 which are some of the most important to check.

    RF Detector?

You have run a UPnP scan. That's good, but the other half of the test is a port scan. Instead of pressing the big yellow instant UPnP button, press the All Service Ports button, and post that result.

    RF Detector?

You shouldn't need to be proficient in networking to run some of these steps, especially this part: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/network-security-questions.82365/page-4#post-991257 If you are struggling to interpret the results, just post them here. What AV are you running on your PC (and...

    RF Detector?

So when you do make adjustments or check footage, you're plugging the NVR into your network, rather than directly into a laptop? Or you have been up to now? Were you able to perform some of the steps I detailed in your other thread, regarding your network? I'm not to completely divert this...

Switching to new PC and STRUGGLING....

Also, are you aware of having Limit Clip Age checked? Typically if you are using the whole of a drive (whole minus overhead, as above), I would think you would leave this off and use as much space as is available.

Video Surveillance: Multi-Location Live View (iOS/Android): How to Bypass the WireGuard Bottleneck Without Switching Profiles?

The likes of IPsec (IKEv2) can also be good, but much more complex to setup.

Where should the BI server be placed within the VLANs?

OK. Put the BI NIC on trusted.

What are your thoughts on these cheap Axis PoE cameras? (to be used with Blue Iris)

UK shipping is somewhat of a rarity! :wtf:

Looking for feedback: Windows software that turns a PC screen into an ONVIF camera

The POS use case is real, and you wouldn't want to be installing the Blue Iris thick client on every POS!

Looking for feedback: Windows software that turns a PC screen into an ONVIF camera

Sounds like it could be useful. I don't run any POS systems so not sure I would have a use case, but I can see where it could be great. It also sounds smoother than a Hdmi encoder in many cases, that said many have surveillance cameras on a dedicated network (or should do!), but the network...

Video Surveillance: Multi-Location Live View (iOS/Android): How to Bypass the WireGuard Bottleneck Without Switching Profiles?

What about hub-and-spoke topology from each of the UCGs to a central location, and then the users device establishes a tunnel to that one central location and can therefore route to all of your sites to via the one tunnel?

    RF Detector?

Exceedingly odd. Do you have any cameras covering near your NVR as mentioned? The reason I asked about PoE - if the cams were connected to a switch, you could get a cheap hub (or switch port mirror, even better), and mirror the port the NVR is on. Run a Wireshark trace on it, filter heavily (So...

    RF Detector?

I think the "cannot delete reserved group" with "admin" and "user" groups is quite normal. Just sloppy phrasing by Dahua. Have any actual users appeared, and if so, what are they called exactly? I have never heard of covert before. I wonder if it could be to do with the function where a live...

Is my Dahua DVR being hacked?

Don't want to scare you any more than needed, but there is no way I would allow this on my network. Isolated VLAN segment with firewall rules, no P2P, yes, but not just connected haphazardly... Many seem to think Dahuas current P2P is fine. I am not saying they are wrong but I prefer to roll...

Is my Dahua DVR being hacked?

Those user names certainly sound like something odd is going on. How it the DVR Internet connected? No port forwarding and UPnP is a good start, but P2P can have issues too...
