Poe and a TP-Link AV600 Powerline Ethernet Adapter

Searched for a while, but could not find a definitive answer. Will poe pass through a TP-Link AV600? For instance if I have a poe switch feeding a AV600, will the paired AV600 be able to supply poe to the camera?

BI5 - Do you have to have a support/maintenance plan to get minor updates?

It doesn't appear to me that the op was complaining about anything. He was just simply asking a question.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I'm thinking of installing two doorbell units. One at each of two doors. Don't really care about google or amazon. What I would like to do, is to be able to stream to an android tablet device using tinycam as well as record 24/7 to BI and a pc. Also get notifications when someone presses the...

    DS-HD1 Hikvision

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I search for DS-HD1, I get no results, but see many references to the unit in the doorbell forum. Is there a review somewhere? Is there a consensus on the quality of this model?

Any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals for UPS?

I have this one. Might be the one Rob was referring to. Great price. Don't think you'll find it cheaper. I watched for a while before purchasing. https://www.newegg.com/apc-br1500ms-4-x-nema-5-15r-6-x-nema-5-15r/p/N82E16842301700?Description=UPS&cm_re=UPS-_-42-301-700-_-Product&quicklink=true

How to cut down wind noise from this mic?

Looked for a while and didn't see anything that size. That looks like it will work! Thanks.

How to cut down wind noise from this mic?

Does the windscreen @looney2ns posted above fit the microseven mic? The mic is 3/4 inch diameter and the screen appears to have a 3/8 inch hole. Having some trouble finding a screen that fits this mic. Would prefer a foam cover and not the fur type.

    Setting ptz presets

Just figured it out. In case anyone is looking for the solution in the future: Position the camera where you want to set the preset. Press and hold the "...", enter the present number you want, press save.

    Setting ptz presets

I've been doing that. But I know there is a way to do it in the app. I've accidentally done it before, just cant recall how.

    Setting ptz presets

Haven't looked there before, but nope. Don't see anything about the process of setting ptz presets.

    Setting ptz presets

Thanks. Looked there and didn't see anything. The app is pretty intuitive. Is there more detailed info somewhere on how to use it? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    Setting ptz presets

I'm using a Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IW-DE PTZ with Tinycam Pro. The camera model I chose in the app's camera settings is DS-2DC22021-DE3/W. This seemed to be the best choice available. Is there a better option? Anyway, this camera allows for 7 numbered presets, but many more when choosing the...

    Monoprice cable recall

Please let us know if you get a positive response. My guess is you won't. They seem to ignore you unless you're VERY persistent. Not sure a $100 spool of cable is worth the trouble. I think that's their plan. They hope you'll give up and go away. I was promised a call back twice. Neither came...

    12 volt power supply

Thanks for the link DG99. I went with the 9 port. The mics are located at bird feeders eight feet apart. I used 24 gauge direct burial cat5e from a ptz camera to a junction box buried between the feeders. Then from the junction box up to the feeders located on poles about 6 feet high. (about...

    12 volt power supply

I'm looking for a 12 volt power supply to send power to several IR LEDs and two microphones. I'd like to mount a unit in my basement and use Cat6 cable to send power to the lights and microphones. Not looking for a wall wart. Would like something with screw terminals that could handle some...

    Monoprice cable recall

I have 1000 feet of gray Cat6 that I believe falls under the recall. Data on the cable matches the recall info. I received the following email from Monoprice; Thank you for your quick response. I apologize for the confusion, however, the only item qualified for recall under the length of...

So much for my newly arrived 2 x Dahua VTH's from Andy...

On more than one occasion I've had Fedex not show up and when tracked, says attempted delivery and no one was home. I guess they were too busy to deliver that day. Years ago, Fedex was the only way to go if you had to have something when promised. Not the case anymore. I avoid them at all costs.

Recommendations for IP camera to record and live stream my bird feeder (4k, 25fps+ and less than $200)

I started the process just like you about a year ago. Have several feeders I wanted to watch. After much consideration, I ended up with a 25x zoom 4MP Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IW-DE. It's around $600 for a US camera. I have multiple presets that can zoom on feeders and nesting boxes as well as...

    What UPS

I'm thinking I'm ready for a UPS. (Should have done is sooner.) I've been reading of heat/fire issues and wondering what model to go for. I have a HP Elitedesk running BI and when finished will have 7 -8 cameras. Also have things like my Router, switch, a couple of different hubs and a small NAS...

Connecting two microphones to one camera.

I'm using a Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IW-DE. I assume it is a mono mic input. (Their is not an internal mic on this camera.)

Connecting two microphones to one camera.

I have two bird feeders that I'm looking at with a PTZ. When I'm looking at one, I can hear only the sound from the other. Would like to hear both and was thinking maybe a mic at each would do the trick?

With a Y-connector. Any reason why this would not work?

Using a PoE cat6 cable for power only

So, it looks like the camera uses 18w and the light uses 4w. Not sure about the mic but I would assume it's less than the light. If the PoE+ switch can provide 30 watts, maybe that's not my problem?

Using a PoE cat6 cable for power only

I actually have a camera in this location. Its a Hikvision PTZ. I'm currently using power splitters to power the camera, mic and light from the one cat6 and am noticing some stutter in the stream and sometimes intermittent loss of video. My PoE switch is a Netgear GS116PP with a 183 watt power...

Using a PoE cat6 cable for power only

Thanks. I'm trying to power the mic and light and was thinking running cat6 wire would be easier than a power cable. Maybe that's not such a good idea.

Using a PoE cat6 cable for power only

I would like to use a PoE switch with cat6 cable to power a small IR illuminator and a microphone. Is this not advisable for some reason? What color wires or pin numbers in a cat6 cable are power?
