REVIEW- Dahua SD1A404XB-GNR 4MP AI mini PTZ

I'll be getting my SD1A404XB-GNR this week and mounting it to the bottom of a wooden beam near the entryway to my home. For asthetic reasons I'd like to paint the camera (except the dome, of course) thr color of the beam. I realize the IR illuminators are on the edges of the bottom black part...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Yeah, I had the IP address reserved in my router, so I'm assuming it's a setting in the doorbell.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Anyone with the Ad410 figured out how to keep the ip address static? Using the Surveillance Pro tool I imputed the necessary info in the network menu and they apparently were saved, but the doorbell still randomly jumps to another ip address from time to time.

    Disable target filter?

Thansk, wittaj. That's what I figured. I've had just the human box check and haven't gotten any alerts, but I'll add a tripwire to see if that changes things.

    Disable target filter?

I'm running an SD6CE445XA-HNR with "deep IVS" basically to look at interesting stuff in my neighborhood. Regardless of what I try, I'm unable to uncheck "target filter" using IVS so as to pick up objects that aren't humans or motor vehicles. In my case, I just want to watch people jump down...

Amcrest AD110 - Can I do better than this?

A few days ago replaced a few months old AD110 with the AD410 and it's a night and day difference. The AD110 had a darker picture that got progressively darker the longer I had it. It also had connectively issues and it seems like it always had a yellow triangle in Blue Iris. AD410 works...

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

Since I wasn't able to see the Axton IR at all with the Z12E when aiming it, I'm now thinking the cut filter is the problem. Observing the Axton through the 2231T-TS I could make shadow puppets on the median 250' away. If that's the case, my Z12E cut filter hasn't worked since I first...

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

Wittaj, I've not tried, but will but will check when I'm able to physically get back in a couple of weeks. A IR filter isn't something that I'm familiar with. Would I need to physically take the camera apart to fix?

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

Biggen, I agree. I'm running a Dahua branded Z12E with the latest firmware from the Dahua site. My settings are attached. From outward purposes, the IR on the camera seems to work in that I see four rather ominous looking glowing dots at night. When I was trying to aim the Axton illuminator...

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

Well, I installed the Axton Nano 5 watt, 10 degree illuminator and while the illuminator certainly worked, it didn't provide much noticeable improvement to my LPR capture. I'm running a HFW5231E-Z12E and have to thread a bit of a needle through two trees (see attached) with ambient light...

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

@biggen, I sure did, and I should be getting the 10 degree version in the next day or so. I'll document my progress with photos. I'm finding surprisingly little on the impact of white light on infrared light, but you post was extremely helpful to see what's possible with at least an 11 watt 10...

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

Thanks again, @biggen. Thanks again, @biggen. Those photos are really helpful. I'm wondering if the 5 watt and 30 degree angle dispersed the IR too much--or possibly I have really crappy aim. I think I'm going to try the 5 watt 10 degree variation next, just because for my application that...

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

Yeah, it's definitely working. Doug from Axton told me that at that range anything less than 90 degrees would be overkill, but after hearing other folks' experiences I went with the 30 degree version. I could be that I just need a more power version with the narrower beam.

Using IR illuminator with street light and ambient light

Like other members (thanks biggen!), I bought an Axton IR illuminator (5w, 30 degree Nano version) to improve LPR capture. My capture distance is only about 85 feet so even with street lights and some white landscape lighting on the side of my house I figured the 30 degree beam would light the...

    Image missing from push notification

Yeah, I feel like I've tried everything and can't get them to work, even on my newer Galaxy S20+. I imagine the variations of carriers and Android versions poses a development challenge. I'd use SMS but I'm limited in text messages per my 15 year old Verizon unlimited data plan which I've found...
